hey i just emailed the cards and also sent them a picture of dansby in the white jersey with the red pants but i changed the socks i painted in a white sock with the thin black stripe matching what is on the jerseys and pants bordering the top and bottom of a thick red stripe. lets see if they bite on that. god i hope they would it looks a thousand times better. by the way i just bought a white antrell rolle jersey online but i'll be waiting a little while for that until he gets a number i heard 21.

I'll say it again: the Cardinals (or any other NFL team for that matter) cannot even look at any unsolicited designs from fans. They will return your email unread.

i agree about having the names outlined in black , it is not needed. pantone i undestand what you are saying but almost all cards fans i know absolutely hate the red socks with the red pants look. i've heard that the pats changed the original striping on their pants when they first switched to the flying elvis uniforms because of fans negitive feedback. so how else can the fans get their point across other than emailing the team with their criticism and ideas for a change. who should i contact reebok or nfl properties if so do you have an address for nfl properties.

hey a couple of my friends out in az said they are working on the manager at a store that will be selling the jerseys. they said the dude there said he got the shipment of jerseys yesterday with strict instructions not to open them up until wednesday night or they could loose their privilages to sell cards gear. this unveiling is top secret. my buddies said they are going to stop by again tonight and try and get the guy to take a peek but i don't see it happening.

my buddy worked at footlocker when the Falcons unvielied their jerseys and it was the same thing. they got the jerseys about a week early and i kept begging him to at least let me get a look at them and he wouldnt budge because they came with a letter from both the NFL and the Falcons saying NO!

there is a guy on arizonasportsfan .net saying that his son got the new jersey for his birthday yesterday. he described as red with black pipingon the sides with some white on the sleeves. the cards nameplate above the numbers on the front and the cards logo on the back above the numbers and below the name. i don't know if i believe this one.

Not bad...not bad at all. I know there's certainly issues, yet I think it works for the most part. It's just modern enough to be considered so, yet it keeps at least a classic vibe to it. I can't quite put on finger on where that vibe lies, but its there somewhere. And at least it seems to give them prominence instead of looking like a Division III college team. And personally, I think the white-shirt/red-pants combo is actually the best out of them.

Now, is there any other team out there planning a change, or should I bring that question to another place.

Darn Cardinals!!

They're not THAT similar. The road's red shoulders actually include the sleeves, while the Bills' are strictly colored on the shoulders, and the home's quite different in the collar, the lack of black in the sleeves, and the lack of a shoulder logo. I actually really like these... especially with the logo above the nameplate on the back.

And, the pants actually look like a cross between the Denver Broncos and U of Miami.

yo saint zephyr iii totally agree with you on the white jersey red pants it is the best combo of all. however the red sock with that combo has got to go. i know i've said that a thousand times by now but it really bothers me on a new design how the hell do you make that mistake.also there is no need for the all red monochrome because of the fact there is so much red in the white jersey itself. there is enough red there . no monochrome please.

pantone not to be a wiseguy but did'nt you send a letter to mr.bidwill requesting a change to a black facemask. by the way i was always in the corner of the gray facemask but seeing it with the new design i agree with you about the black facemask , i willing to flood the cards with emails and letters on that. what do you say pantone if you join me on my white sock with the red pants fetish. ha ha ha . but seriously i 'm going to be sending some serious letters to the cards on both issues. iwas checking out what would be the best color for the cards facemask and after looking through some other teams and one that sticks out to me is the pats red facemask... they have just a little red in their package but having it a s the facemask color rewally brings out the red on the rest of the uni's and is a great accent to the whole identity. i think the black would do the same for the cards overall look with the little bit of black in the rest of the uniform.

Actually, I DID send a letter to the Cardinals regarding a Black facemask, and it was returned to me, along with a letter from Michael Bidwill siting the "unsolicited design" stuff. I thought maybe that talking about a facemask color would be exempt from this rule, but apparently it's not.

I'm with you on the sock thing - however, I'm not sure what to do about it other than the fact that - as others have stated here - teams often tweak their looks a but in the seasons following a change, so maybe things like the facemasks and the road socks will be a part of that.

But I'm not holding my breath.

hey pantone i called and emailed them before on certain things and they sent me micheal bidwill's address and said all uniform questions or decisions would be answered or made by him. i guess the key is all you can really do is just send him complaints but really can't talk on specific ideas or include any type of examples or templates. they need a black facemask and white socks with black and red stripes when wearing the red pants. no doubt about .

chazberg i have to disagree although i was thinking the same thing at first about the logo above the name but now i'm kind of liking that. i would'nt want that to really turn into a trend though it works for the cards. other than the all red combo and wearing red socks with red pants i think it is a nice design not really exactly what i was expecting or wanted but nonetheless i like it. i can think of some worse changes for sure the bengals, the bills ,the new giants away uni's, the detriot black jerseys, the seahawks monochrome, the dolphins and jets monochrome, the jags wearing the black pants with the teal jerseys and the change to way too much black on their road jerseys.

I've been away for 5 days, so just today I saw the new unis, and as a Cards fan I must say red one is close to great, but the white one sucks, Buffalo makeover gone bad. I just think there is some more room for yellow or cooper...

They can't play without socks - strangely enough, it's a league rule dating back to when Elmer Layden was comish. (As they say on Fark.com, having taken care of the rest of the world's problems...)

As for the Cardinals - well, it's not the best I've ever seen, but it's not bad. I'd hate to see, say, Green Bay do something similar, but for a team that has been wearing the same basic unis since Ernie Nevers played, it's a more than overdue upgrade.

And I've finally figured out this cutback in sleeve length thing. It's to make up for all the extra fabric basketball players started using in their "shorts."
