sacker12 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I don't know if this has been posted, but I just read on the ESPN BottomLine that the Jets released Doug Brien.EDIT: Here is a link to the story.http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n.../s125056D78.DTL
waggie Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 he will most likely be a Viking. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
sacker12 Posted April 29, 2005 Author Posted April 29, 2005 Brien cut?? Never saw it coming. I know. It's not like he had a pattern of choking in overtime.
EagleFan344 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Well he was the #1 reason they lost. He deserves it.
OnWis97 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 he will most likely be a Viking. Yeah, I suppose. I was soooooooo upset when the Jets picked Nugent. NJTank Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Well after they drafted Nugent this was obviously gonna happen. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
pcgd Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Come on bears...I think we need another former good player that fell out of favor with his former club to come to our team to get my hopes up...*cough*KORDELL*cough*
NJTank Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Do u really want him? he stinks. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
pcgd Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 no. I'm fine with the disapointing Edinger or one of the rookies that will trot out there for kicking duties this year.Aka...we're screwed.
Cujo Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Dammit, it should have been us getting our asses kicked by the Patriots in the AFC Chapmionship Game. Thanks alot, Doug Brien!
oz615 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Srcrew that,he need to come to Nashville, cause the just released Joe Nedney for cap reasons (plus only played like what 3 games in the 2 seasons,i don;t know for sure),also Gary Anderson is like what 46 or 47 years old,so Doug if you're reading this, please come to Tennessee.

Who hasn't been a "cap casualty" in Tennessee??If I'm a Titans fan, I think 'd rather see an Al Del Greco comeback than resort to bringing in "Dougy".

What happened to Edinger?BTW, nice call.
pcgd Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 In addition to the 6 QB's we have in camp...we now have 4 kickers (maybe a fifth from NFL Europe). The 4 kickers now (Brien, Edinger, and 2 undrafted kickers one from boise state; Tyler Jones and the other from Maryland; Nick Novak) will compete for the the kicking job.We add a veteran kicker but not a veteran QB...makes perfect sense...
OMMF Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 We add a veteran kicker but not a veteran QB...makes perfect sense... Kickers are usually the highest scorers.

Kickers are usually the highest scorers. yeah...that's assuming you get into the endzone to kick extra points. Who am I kidding, or even close enough to kick a field goal. Unless Rex Grossman is as good as they say, that's not going to happen.
