QB with the biggest contract

Manning: 7 years, $98 million ($34.5 million signing bonus)

Vick: 10 years, $130 million (signing and roster bonuses of $37 million).

Vick's contract is by far the richest contract in league history. Hope you won the bet! link

I cant believe Vick is the highest paid player in the leagueΒ

Why not?

He's nowhere near the best player in the league.

It's not that Vick is the best player. IMHO, I think he makes that team soooooooo much money that it can "justify" that salary. I also think he just means the most to his team. And it's all monopoly money anyway...

Exactly, he's the bigger "draw." Admit it - aside from Falcon fans, would you go to a Falcon game if Vick was the QB, or if Manning was the QB? Which guy is the "must-see-gonna-do-something-amazing-never-before-seen-in-the-history-of-the-NFL" type player (and I'm not talking about season-long records, I'm talking about highlite-reel type plays)?

I can only imagine how much more dangerous Vick would be if he had some other receivers besides Alge Crumpler...

Of course it depends on what you mean by 'biggest contract'. Manning's contract is worth $14million a year, Vicks $13 million.

In total Vick's copntract therefore is worth more, but manning's contract is worth more annually.
