I can't remember the Giants EVER wearing white at home*.

*home meaning where they are the home team, not when they are in their home stadium, because they play "at" the Jets quite often at Giants Stadium, just like they are "at" the Saints tonight.

I'm pretty sure they've done it since, but they definitely wore white in the '56 championship game against the Bears at Yankee Stadium.

Yes, during the Cowboys' heyday of the 1970s and early 1980s NFC East teams would sometimes don white at home so the Cowboys would be forced to wear blue. Another example: Eagles wore white at home vs. Cowboys in 1980 NFC championship.

PackerBadger, 1981 is the year the Giants wore white at home vs. Cowboys to make the playoffs, courtesy of Joe Danelo OT field goal.

the football giants wore white at home - on occasion - from 1953 (when they swapped red jerseys for white jerseys) thru 1956. 53, 54, & 55 at the polo grounds & 56 at yankee stadium.

they then wore white at home for all of 1967.

then, the aforementioned times at the meadowlands.

going further back, the "maramen" (as the ny papers called them in ancient days) wore white at home for all of 1936 and on occasion in 1935.
