FiddySicks Posted November 13, 2005 Share Posted November 13, 2005 OK, I read in another thread that someone suggested the name for a team in Los Angeles be the California Grizzlies and it helped to give me the inspiration for these. Other places where i got my inspiration were; The California State flag, the Arizona Cardinals, The Fresno Grizzlies, and my head. I cant say im terribly satisfied with these, mainly considering the logos and colors on the top set are from the Fresno Grizzlies, but i feel they worked best in this situation, but i still plan to eventually tweak the colors ad make my own logos for this concept. Other issues i had were with the second set, being that im having problems getting the California State flag to translate onto a uniform. C and C is always appreciated, and any other suggestions you have to make these better would help tremendously. FiddySicks Posted November 13, 2005 Author Share Posted November 13, 2005 Thanks for the coments on the colors, but unfortunately, as i stated in my first post, its the colors that the Fresno Grizzlies use, but i feel that it would work wonders for a football team. Ive always felt that gold, brown, and hunter/teal is a very underrated color combo. EDIT: Accually now that i think of it, i think those colors are also the colors that the California Forest Service uses. For the first one i used a form of the old California License plates for the logo, the numbers are dark blue because thats the colors of the license #s on California plates. For the second i used the font from the current California license plates just under the collar, and the third i took my inspiration from a few places. The Font is straight from the California state flag, and the side pannels i took inspiration from the Detriot Pistons and also from those scarves that many soccer fans wear. I would love to see this concept in forest green. Forest green and gold would be unique on the NFL landscape. Didn't know ya had it in ya.Anyways, this is the version of your concept i like more. Not too much goin on and very easy on the eyes. One change: on the red jersey, change the numbers from green to white, then it would be cool. StoneRaizer Posted November 19, 2005 Share Posted November 19, 2005 A little bit of C&C (since I'm the poster that mentioned the California Grizzlies name you mentioned )1st Concept - I know it sounds weird, but those kind of remind me of soccer uniforms, and no that's not a bad thing. Logo is what the Boston Bruins should use on their alternates instead of Pooh. 2nd Concept - Tan looks great, but as someone else mentioned it looks almost like a pea green. The two particular shades that you used together I feel don't work for a team called the Grizzlies, maybe an army inspired team like the Generals. I'd keep the darker green, but tinker with the lighter colour to make it look less armyish.3rd Concept - I see where you're going with this but I really don't know about it. I like the inspiration from the California flag but red white and green always make me think of national teams (Mexico, Portugal, Belarus).4th Concept (2nd Concept with orange) - I don't know where the orange comes from, but it works, however it looks a little too Miami Hurricanes-ish and I don't know if LA fans would appreciate that.
