At least using the name of some kind of shark is at least threatening. Then again Miami Dolphins is not threatening, yet they're pretty well liked. And exactly how would a graphic of a Sock look?..."Father"...Baseball is FULL of stupid names... It would look like this: Save the slugalo. GeorgesL Posted July 26, 2006 Share Posted July 26, 2006 I just happen to attend a Rays-Orioles game at the Trop on Friday, the same day they released the cownose rays into the tank just by rightcentre field. I think if they were really considering a name change, it wouldn't be too drastic. For all I know, they will probably drop the name "Devil", and just stick with plain Rays.I would consider "Thunder Rays", since Tampa Bay is the Thunder capitol of the US. You know, I'm probably the only one, but I like that logo. That wouldn't necessarily stand on its own, but if it was an alternate of some sort, I could see it working pretty well....But like I said, I'm probably the only one. It's not bad, but those little 'checkmarks' in conjunction with the "solar flares" are too much. Make the background a baseball, or get rid of it entirely. It's where I sit.
