I hate how Carolina gets to shove the Stanley Cup down our throats, by raising the banner when we visit them on opening night.

Look at how Buffalo gets to start...

Sabres @ Carolina 10/4/2006 7:00

Sabres vs. Montreal 10/6/2006 8:00

Sabres @ Ottawa 10/7/2006 7:00

Sabres @ Detroit 10/13/2006 7:30

Sabres vs. NY Rangers 10/14/2006 7:00

Sabres vs. Philadelphia 10/17/2006 7:00

Sabres vs. Carolina 10/20/2006 8:00

Very, Very hard start.

I'm glad they didn't clump up the cross conference games like they did last year. Spread our meager helpings around, make it seem like more.

Edit: conferences, not divisions.

Has Carolina announced that the 4th will be banner night? I hadn't heard that yet.

If so, it might be the first banner raising that gets booed by 2,000 fans in the upper level.

I heard, this morning.

What a shame... I would have thought they'd prefer to raise it in front of thier own fans. B)

I'm officially up to no good. :hockeysmiley:

That last game against the Preds, maybe the team should surprise their fans and come dressed as a playoff team for Halloween. :D

Why does everyone complain? There are going to be stretches where your favorite team has long road stretches against playoff calibre teams. You also have nice home stretches too. So quit your bitching.

Sigh...I knew it was gonna happen by the way the NHL sets the schedule, but I have another year in Atlanta to look forward to not seeing my beloved Wild and Flames in person. I think there could be a better rotation of non-conference games rather than playing one division each third year, or whatever the heck it is now.

Guess I can see the Habs or Sens.

Also, I'm not a big fan of the 2-home-games-in-a-row-against-the-same-division-rival concept. (I believe that's the official name for it) :)

I doubt Stall will be playing in the NHL this season.
