Matt Bryant: 3rd longest FG in NFL history

That's crazy. Just when I thought it would be a somewhat perfect day in the division (Falcons beat Steelers in possibly the best game I've ever seen in person, Bengals beat Steve Smith & The Pantherettes), Matt Bryant turns into Super Tom Dempsey and booms a 62 yarder for the win. That is easily the best FG kick evar because it wasn't wind aided (though Dempsey had half-a-foot), and it was for the win against a playoff-caliber squad.

Poor Brian Westbrook. They said on the NBC show that he had to wear glasses to hide the tears. I would too, that's the worst way to lose a game.

But hot damn, 62 yards??? CRAZY!

You wanna know who was probably feelin SUPER sick Sunday? Willie Parker--after he basically GAVE the ball to the Atlanta D after trying to reverse field after getting stopped in the backfield. Result? Vick throws one of FOUR TD passes. Helps the Falcons win the game.

Well hell--since we talkin about sick, how about Nate Washington's dumb ass flinching ON A CLOCK PLAY. Nice way to run off 8 seconds. (And I've been listening to the Steelerfan crying all day about how the clock supposedly wasn't reset after that first of three FG attempts...I'm telling you, they'll find any and EVERY LITTLE THING to bitch about when the Steelers lose...it's insane.

But enough about that...Matt Bryant is a HERO...all this week. 62 yards...could have easily been 65. TAMPA BAY WINS! (And suddenly ol' girl I'm holla'in at in Philadelphia ain't returning my calls or texts...HMMM...!)

Man this stuff is fun!

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

You talk about sad...I was damn near depressed when they got that big gain into FG range...Then Nate Washington flinched, and sent it into overtime, and 65% of the Dome and myself into a frenzy (Terrible Towel invaded the Dome...it was crazy)...10 Second run off is the best rule evar :D

But yeah, they have got to be sick, the Eagles. In the games they've lost, they lost a humongous lead (Giants), and lost two games on last second FG (Saints & Bucs). They are basically a quarter and a few seconds away from being undefeated. With that being sad, HA HA at them not being able to finish.

and LMAO @ Matt Bryant Day.

Place Kickers back then had square toe kicking shoes... and kicked straight on..as there were few, if any soccer style kickers at that time...maybe Pete Gogalak...(sp) and Garo Yapremian (sp)....so it was a hard plastic toe on that shoe.......Dempsey also had only one hand....as for the wind advatage...there have been plenty of F.G. attempts in the past 36 years.... and still only 2 have 63 yarders...............................

Is there ANYthing better, in the world, than beating Philadelphia?

I mean really...

:)

Uh...how about beating Oakland? In 2002? For the Super Bowl championship? Or how about beating St. Louis--you know, the game all Buc fans remember as "the lateral" (that being the game when Shaun King--remember him?--took a lateral from an about-to-be-tackled Warrick Dunn and scampered up the sideline 19 yards for a first down on the game-winning drive). Or how about Green Bay? (Actually, they managed to do that quite a bit--in Tampa. But couldn't do it in Green Bay to save their life.)

BUT...for all the mess that Philadelphia put Tampa through--including OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS TWO YEARS IN A ROW...IN PHILLY...that '02 playoff victory--IN PHILLY--and then Sunday (finally a game between the two in Tampa)...oh yeah, I was LOVING that!

Ahhh, all great games. Nothing beat Ronde's interception returned for a TD in the NFC Championship though. I couldnt even watch that game I was such a mess. Although, I must admit ive watched Derrick's clincher off of Gannon in 37 more times than ive blinked.

And am I the only Buc fan that was bummed Tampa didnt do more to try and develop Shaun King more? Now dont get me wrong, Brad Johnson was the perfect sign, but I still think King couldve been something special.
