NickNickNick
I don't know much about this one, though I seem to remember it was used quite sparingly, and was supposed to go for the 1998 Olympics...can anyone verify? steiny_ramone
IIRC, correctly, someone (probably spyboy) bought that off ebay. I thought it was mentioned that it was never used in a game, or something like that. It's nice though. Good find. facespace?http://www.myspace.com/seancalcottmusic http://www.myspace.com/forgottentoys
FiddySicks
Accually, I think someone who is a member here accually designed that jersey along with a lot of the other 98 jerseys that were scrapped at the last minute. steiny_ramone
You might be right. That seems to ring a bell. facespace?http://www.myspace.com/seancalcottmusic http://www.myspace.com/forgottentoys
Sodboy13
I believe that ebod39 designed that badboy, the glorious and unused "Tetris Block" Russian jersey. I believe it got scrapped because somebody thought it looked "too Soviet." If you're looking to customize it, single-layer white numbers on the back, red on the sleeves, in Futura Bold Condensed (the old Mighty Ducks alternate font.) Standard block lettering on the nameplate, I believe. spyboy1
Here's the original thread discussing this jersey. It's hard to search for since I managed to spell "jersey" wrong. http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?sh...c=34098&hl=ebod39 did design it and tells an interesting story of international intrigue about why it wasn't used.Since that post, I now have a total of 3 of them. One is being customized as a "P. BURE" #10 just to be different. The lettered ones from Nike all came as "FEDEROV" #91 as far as I can tell. I've got one of those as well.I first got a size medium since I didn't know when I'd see one again. Look for it on ebay some time in the near future. Sodboy13
So does that medium fit like a Bauer medium - in other words, a CCM Large/early '90s extra large? Because if it does, I'm in the market. ebod39
Here's the white version I have. Actually this is even rarer I think because It has the modified crest and text layout on the front. This was another revision made after things went to retail, but before the whole thing was dropped. Here's the inspiration. The far left dome of St. Basils, was the whole idea. I even tried some version that included green beveled squares but that was too much.
steiny_ramone
I think I like that better than the red one. Very nice. NickNickNick
ebod, I love these jerseys. Mine looked great on me for the world junior final.I'm curious to find out why you went with white for the light version of the jersey instead of an off-white like in the shoulder stripes.Either way, it looks great. Jezus_Ghoti
Those are so much nicer than what the Russians are wearing today. They really should have gone with that and stuck with it.

ebod39
I just felt the cream would have been too much for the whole body. Plus it would have been sublimated and it could have come off dirty or yellowed. I really just wanted it as an accent against the reds. Because I was using shades of color it looks richer without being busy.
