FiddySicks
So as some of you know im quite the hat collector and lately ive been on even more of a binge than normal I have at least one current 59Fifty for every MLB team and am pretty close to owning the full run of current hats. But as well as the current hats, im also into rare hats as well. Ive got quite a few throwback hats that are somewhat desired, including the Astros navy and gold, both Marlins teal hats, California Angels CA, D Backs original set, just picked up a coupla Ebbets Field Flannels hats (Thanks to Gothamite, Fiasco, and a few others for sparking my interest in those), ect ect, as well as quite a few minor league hats. But one set of hats that ive been looking for but cant seem to find anywhere are the 2002 and earlier mesh MLB BP caps. Now I know the MiLB still uses them as their BPs, and id like to grab one sometime soon (probably a rivercats one) just to try it out, but im really interested in getting a few of the MLB versions.Ok so after all that, and in the spirit of the new hats for 07, ive got a few questions. #1, where the heck can I find the old mesh BP MLB caps online that isnt E Bay? (Even they have almost no selection) Ive looked everywhere I could think of and can't seem to find em. #2 Why were they dropped in the first place? I remember when they were originally out I never grabbed one because the fit seemed really stiff and strange, but I never had one on for more than a few minutes or so. Did that have anything to do with why they were let go for the more current flexfit and performance materials, or was that all marketing?#3 Why is it that MiLB still uses the old mesh style caps? Is there some reason that they've stuck with the old material, or did they just never get the option for the flexfit hat?Any info would be greatly appreciated. huggermugger
I couldn't tell you where to buy them but I have a white Royals mesh BP cap that is brand new, in a bag. I've tried to sell it a few times on ebay with no bites. It's sorta ugly because it says Royals in script across the front but if you're interested. PM me and I'll send it to you for free if you want to just pick up the shipping.

Gothamite
I have a soft spot in my heart for those caps, if only because the Brewers put one of my favorite logs on them: The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

I shoulda bought this one when I saw it at a Pro Image for like $10 many moons ago. This would be a cool sleeve logo for the Brewers (color swapped, of course). Couldn't find it amid the move out of my parents' house, but I should look for it when I go back there one of these days. Hopefully it wasn't a rummage sale casualty.
