zer0dotcom
When they first moved, I thought their design looked alot like the 1996 team Canda design. ???
Stampman
One sports writer described the 'Canes logo as a puck being flushed down a toilet, when he first saw it--I forget who it was though. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."

winters in buffalo
In the toilet, indeed!I was at Sunday's Tropical Depression vs Buffalo game ... and the attendance was just over 7,000. Granted, it was snowing, but the crowd appeared to be only slightly smaller than usual.I'd guess that half the people there were Sabres fans. At least, we were the vocal majority by the 3rd period. IceCap
After the Leafs are eliminated we generally cheer for whatever Canadian team remains. I've never seen anything different than that ever. Hell we were rooting for the Habs in the 1993 Stanley Cup finals. That's the way it is here, and that's the way it'll always be here. We love Canada, and we root for all of our national brothers.amen! however, if the leafs end up playing ANY other canadian team in the playoffs, watch out, 'cause then its a whole new ball game go leafs go!and hopefully go jets go! NJTank
I dont understand why they chose Carolina any way. Especially Raleigh, maybe it would work in Charollete but not Raleigh. Raleigh s not a major market at all.If they had to leave Hartford they shoudl have gone to a Northenr City like Salt Lake, or Seattle. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
