NFL Europa, auf Wiedersehen!

A noble experiment that should have died a lot sooner than it really did.

Anyway, for me, the World League (or NFL Europa - is the "Europa" supposed to signify some high class like an expensive latte or something? What happened to plain ol' NFL Europe?) died when the Montreal Machine folded into that soulless land known as defunct-franchisedom. Good night, sweet league.

I think the name change had something to do with "Eurpoa" being closer to the name of the continent in most European languages.

Could be wrong, tho.

Kinda sad, but really, good news for us Americans, and possibly Canadians?? That means more football here, and new logos/jerseys!

Indeed it could open the dorr for new talent to join the CFL, so it's good new over here!

Will they still include the Europe teams as classics in Madden.

Come on, isn't a "shoppe" better than a "shop" ?

Yeah, but it's not as good as "Ye Olde Towne Shoppe"

Wasn't there a Dave Barry column along those lines a long time ago?

Yes, he suggested an "e" tax.
