CZzyzx41
And I'd rather see the Twins wear the 1965 World Series uniforms, as seen here:http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dre...mp;Entryid=1058Agree. And I know I am in the minority, but give me the late '80s Padres:http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dre...mp;Entryid=1677God I've been begging to see those on the field again for some time. They also should change the fence from blue to green to complete the effect. God I miss Jack Murphy Stadium in the 80s. -DanielCheck Out My Podcast! erlovepuck
These are pretty cool to look through. Count me in favor of the Mets utilizing that Blue Alt as part of their set.
maz
Pittsburgh1979http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dre..._pittsburgh.gifYes, the Pirates had 5 different combos of uniforms. I chose these because of the full yellow jersey and the striped hats, both the black and yellow ones.No. Those pillbox hats were awful. Along with the multiple mis-matched jerseys.Ture, the Pirates have not had very different uniforms. Multiple red white and blue one similar to each other until the 50s when they changed and stayed the same until they had the pullovers in the 70's and 80's. Then they went for their worst looks {other than the 70's} through the 90's. So in the event of a throwback game the likely jersey has been and would be the late 70's pullovers. So I think I see your reasoning behind that. However, all they have to do is take off the Pirates logo patch on the sleeve, make the away jersey say "Pirates" instead of "Pittsburgh", take off the names on the back, and use block numbers instead of current font and boom, instant 1960's throwback. The pillbox was a very unique and well designed part of the Pirates uniform, and should be used by them to this very day. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes? Gothamite
Couldn't agree more.I'd love for one of the traditional clubs to adopt them full-time, as an alt if nothing else. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
maz
Maybe alone they were good, espeicially the black ones... ...but throw the "Stargell Stars" on and they look cluttered. And the Yellow ones were bad even when plain.
Shumway
I vote for these for the Angels, even though they've got the "CA" caps. Heck, they should go back to these full-time.And for the Sillies, is there a nicer uniform? I'd love to see them incorporate blue a bit more.I also kinda dig the late 80s/early 90s Padres, but the solid yellows are just ridiculously sweet.
