zer0dotcom Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 <font color='#000000'>I got it in my head the other day while watching the raptors game that I was going to convert the NBA into NHL uniforms, (why? why not, I'm bored, school isn't doing much for me right now anyways)zer0's concepts archiveFrom now on, the new additions will be at this address, in bold at the top of the list
Stampman Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 Rude comments, well I'll pass on those--the colour combinations often look strange when doing cross-overs--but while they do--these are some different looks--I'd leave the jersey all purple. The Raptors one looks the best, but as I'm sure others are thinking---why is he playinf basketball on a hockey jersey. Oh well- I once named a fantasy baseball team the Goalies (on purpose--their home field was Brad Park.) Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
zer0dotcom Posted January 30, 2004 Author Posted January 30, 2004 lol, the Brad Park is a good one. For now, I'm just going to transfer the direct logos. My illustrator skills are still infantile, so I'd probubly end up butchering the logos
Lee. Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 I too prefer the Raps' all-purple jerseys. That Houston one needs a little grey or silver in it though...maybe around the numbers? Or trim around the white shoulder pieces? Welcome to DrunjFlix
zer0dotcom Posted January 30, 2004 Author Posted January 30, 2004 Got the Wizards one up (put the wrong number on, go figure) and added some grey/silver trim to the shoulders and cuff of the Rockets
the_cynic Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 Do you think there's any chance of jerseys like these being sold as NBA merchandise? Utah Jazz Retired Number's#1 - Frank Layden - #7 Pete Maravich - #12 John Stockton - #14 Jeff Hornacek - #35 Darrell Griffith - #53 Mark EatonRetired Number's To Come#00 The Bear (Best Mascot In NBA) - #4 Adrian Dantley - #32 Karl "The Mailman" Malone
griffin128 Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 Whats funny is that I think the new Rockets logo is a terrible mark for an NBA team but actually when its on a hockey sweater it looks pretty sweet. Good job.I'd just add those silver rings that the Rockets have on their jerseys.
NJTank Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 Some of these could be better if it was not for the mesh on the side Im not a fan of that style www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
zer0dotcom Posted February 1, 2004 Author Posted February 1, 2004 Whipped up two more, Boston and Chicago. The colour combos and styles transfered over pretty good. I have both home and road for these ones
NJTank Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Thos Bulls and Celtics crossovers are very nice especially the Bulls that is a great logo, with great colors and would work in almost any sport. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Stampman Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 The Celtics & Bulls are the best ones so far--the Bulls especially--I agree the logo works well, and you've matched it up with stripes and colours that look good. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
STL FANATIC Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 The Celtics look great. The Bulls look pretty good, but the stripes could be of even thickness. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
rheistad Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 i like them all, lets see some more, how about a denver nuggets one
CC97 Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Do you think there's any chance of jerseys like these being sold as NBA merchandise? The Raptors sell hockey jerseys at their shop at the Air Canada Centre, you can get them customised too. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
zer0dotcom Posted February 2, 2004 Author Posted February 2, 2004 I've seen those at the ACC. They seem alittle dissappointing, with the script across the chest, all balck design...meh oh well.I added the Denver Nuggets unis, took a page from the Habitants and Charleston Cheifs books of design, also left the names off to see what its like
NJTank Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 That Nuggets uniform does remind me of the Chiefs. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
the_cynic Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 I hate those Nuggets ones. Maybe it's because I've always hated that color scheme. Utah Jazz Retired Number's#1 - Frank Layden - #7 Pete Maravich - #12 John Stockton - #14 Jeff Hornacek - #35 Darrell Griffith - #53 Mark EatonRetired Number's To Come#00 The Bear (Best Mascot In NBA) - #4 Adrian Dantley - #32 Karl "The Mailman" Malone

STL FANATIC Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 I like those Nuggets ones. Although, on the darker jersey, I'd either reverse the number colors, OR the stripe colors. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
vicfurth Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 The Wizards' one is pretty cool. I usually don't go for the rainbow arches, but it seems to fit better here. One reason would be that it copies the same arched basketball seen in the logo. Nicely done on all of these.
