Fred T. Jane
So I'm wandering around the local Target, looking for the Camping gadgets for a portable weather station (None in stock. Curses!) and on the end cap there was something which caught my eye: Manchester United and FC Barcelona merchandise. It wasn't from Nike or anything, but the "jerseys" (generic-looking versions of home and away jerseys), caps, and balls had the clubs' logos and had official merchandise tags and everything. I'm figuring that this is a nationwide thing so check them out if you have the chance. I''ll be waiting until Target figures out that no one in Lafayette cares about soccer, and sells it all for $5 apiece. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. DelayedPenalty
They've started carrying some Man. U. soccer merchandise at my local target (Saginaw, MI). Seems rather random, since they don't even sell MLS apparel, but whatever!
MJWalker45
The Target here has generic Mexican League jerseys. Of course I'm literally a stone throw away from the border.
Fred T. Jane
$5?Definitely gonna pick up some stuff if they have it at a Target here. No, not $5. I was commenting on how low they'll probably clearance them at when no one here buys them. The "jerseys" are $30, caps are $15, and the balls are IIRC $5-10. ManCalledAmp
I saw MLS team soccer balls at my local target a while back...Fire, old-style Galaxy, Chivas (I think), DC United...perhaps another team or two. Certainly surprised me.Oh, and of course the MLS-logo balls as well. Go Gators. Go Blue Raiders. Go Commodores. Go USC Trojans.Preds & Avs. Braves, Rays, & Dodgers. Titans, Colts, Broncos, Cardinals. Grizzlies. 14ers, Jam. Team Spirit + Laziness = Yay.

agentrygraphics
they have them in Atlanta as well....northern burbs from what I've seen. Man U and FC Barca only....but what got my attention was that there were 3 distinctly different dark jersey styles for sale for each team.......the jerseys are of terrible quality, IMO, with seemingly iron-on logos and markings. Not worth $30. "This isn't just the Oregon Ducks, it's Football's Future Turf Soldier War Hero Steel Robot Tech Flex Machine Army." -CS85

Not worth $30.Sounds like the $17 Starter faux Sooner football jerseys my wife found when stopping at the Wal-Mart in Ardmore this weekend. She called me up asking if I wanted them, and in my haste I simply assumed they were standard replicas and didn't ask any questions.Oh well, not bad for $17, but that's about as much as I'd pay for them...
