JayJaxon
I noticed that a lot of people have their own way of presenting the concepts they do. I came up with this. I Wanted to see what everyone thought about my template for presenting future concepts.
Patchey13
Its alright but the watermark is a little too prevalent. I do understand that it is against a blank template but it should still be a little less noticeable
JayJaxon
Thanks for the advice...I'll try to tone that watermark down a bit
FiddySicks
it looks like you just took Swiss' template and made a few very minor revisions. JayJaxon
it looks like you just took Swiss' template and made a few very minor revisions. The jerseys are not what I am asking about. They are just props at this point. I do use the Swiss template when I do my baseball jerseys, which is why I included them here. The CC is supposed to be for the logo and watermarks and presentation of the concepts, not the jerseys.
gingerbreadmann
I don't know, I think it's very basic. I don't love the triangles and the logo in the middle. I think you should have the logos up top in a top bar and focus the whole second section on the concept. I think the triangles are too eye-catching and the stuff around the concepts should be very basic.
MVP
I don't really see the point in this. Plus, in a presentation of concepts, the actual CONCEPTS should be the products that catches the attention, while the relevant information about the design should be secondary. But here, it is glaringly obvious that the random triangles disrupts the presentation. Also, I personally don't even see the relation between triangles and concepts. Admittedly, the very initial thing I saw when the image loaded was the random spike at the top, then the gigantic watermark, then the logo in the middle. The actual concept was the very last thing I noticed.

I just added the jerseys to show how I will be presenting the new concepts I put out. the 'triangles' are not random at all. They are spacers. When I put out a concept, they will be in the primary color of the team I am presenting. All I am trying to accomplish here is a nice, professional way of presenting my work. gingerbreadmann and Patchey13, thank you for paying attention to what I was trying to accomplish and providing me with great feedback that I can use to make this better. What effect do you think if your watermark was placed on a REAL concept? Real concepts have colour. Your watermark is enormous and also has colour. People want to see the actual colours and design of a concept, without a watermark almost the size of the group of jersey set. I don't even think I've ever seen a coloured watermark referred to being "professional". Professional templates have clean, simple lines. This template has awkwardly-placed, unnecessarily eye-catching geometric shapes. If you research a bit of "professional" work, you may find most, if not all presentation of work NOT having the design firm's logo placed splat in the middle of the work. You shouldn't be presenting your firm, you are presenting your concept FOR your firm. And just because I negatively critiqued your concept, doesn't mean I paid any less attention than those who positively critiqued this. Also, if you are truly serious about being "professional", I would suggest developing a more iconic or unique brand identity first.

JayJaxon
gingerbreadmann did not positively critique the work. But he told me what he didn't like and gave me some ideas to make it better. When you start your post with 'I don't really see the point in this', that tells me that you have no interest in helping make it better, you are just like dozens of other people on this site that verbally bash everyone else's hard work with no real critiques. I am new to this, but just because I am doesn't mean you have the right to put down what I am trying to do. I am happy to hear if people don't like it, why, and what I can do to improve. I'm not asking for a 'good job' and pat on the back every time. But it would be nice to have MORE people on here like gingerbreadmann who DOES see the point in what I am trying to do, and is willing to help me get there. oddball
Keep it simple and clean. A simple thin line separating each jersey/uniform and your logo in one of the corners and not overwhelming. You're over-designing, you're layout of something like this should not be noticed whatsoever.
