I'm pretty sure they can be used as avatars as well, but I may be wrong.Also, I've been debating whether or not to take the drop shadow out of the sig. Thoughts?No you shouldn't take out the drop shadow, I love it's subtlety. I think you should put the stripes in the square one, like in your avatar.
