MDC
I mean, if you're a guy with a history of violence, jumping into the back of a truck to pursue a woman who is fleeing you, what are you most likely doing? Delivering freshly baked cookies?I was literally going to post the same thing, but more like this:I've heard so many people saying, "He was turning his life around!" or "just as things were looking better..." BS. THe guy was trying to stop his wife from leaving his house, and the only way to do this was to JUMP IN THE CAR?!?!? What could he possibly be doing? "Honey, wait! Dont leave! I made cookies!!!!!!"Maybe he couldn't stand to lose her, since she was the person that helped him his life around.I don't get why nobody gives Chris Henry the benefit of the doubt here. He had problems in the past. He hasn't had any recently (until this unfortunate mishap). Why was everyone so quick to paint Josh Hamilton a hero after he had problems in his past?Kinda playing Devil's advocate here, but I would say the main reason is that he didn't kill himself in the middle of an off the field issue......Instead, he went out and hit the cover off the ball. I would likely change my opinion on Chris Henry if went as long as Josh Hamilton did without staying out of the news, and just went out and played football ---Owner of the NHA's Philadelphia Quakers, the UBA's Chicago Skyliners, and the CFA's Portland Beavers (2010 CFA2 Champions)---
The_Admiral
Didn't Josh Hamilton end up doing coke off a stripper's ? EDIT: OH COME ON WE CAN'T? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
DEAD!
He had serious issuesDefinitely. Threatening to kill yourself over a bitch is way more f'd up than threatening to kill yourself over Omar Minaya. This is the stuff I'll never understand from posters. Why the f*** are comments like this necessary? I'm not gonna edit your post--I don't think you broke any rules. But we talk about being a dick, well here you go.There's a faction here that's overly sympathetic (where I fall), and then there's a faction thats too cool to care. Is it not better to be too nice? You may want to edit your post, so nobody sees it and realizes what an overreacting, over sensitive person your are.Give me a break. That post was ridiculous.Sorry, happy with my post. I get tired of seeing people on here try and get some sense of entitlement by ragging on other posters, specifically over an issue like the one you're giving him trouble for. "Haha, you threatened to kill yourself!"I saw one too many and snapped, but I don't take back what I said.We are all moderators.*polite applause* Well done... (in a polite British accent) I saw, I came, I left.

If you come in here and talk about offing yourself over a baseball team you get what you deserve. If that makes me "too cool to care" then so be it. "We're all______" when properly executed never gets old and by the looks of it, it's never going away. The posts in question were f-ing hilarious. I nominate them for something. JQK
I'm all for equal mockery here. Having fun at others expense is a good time. However over my time here it seems some people are more equal than others, and mockery of them is not allowed. With all that said, Fu*k you, Jigga.(j/k... much love, brother) Stay Tuned Sports Podcast

BBTV
Having fun at an other's expense is a good time. I do it every day. It's who I am. Most of you probably do to, when you're not sitting around thinking about how good of a person you are for mourning the loss of some idiot who you never met and who had no impact in your life.Pointing out the ridiculousness of Tnak pointing out that someone has issues is a good time. I'm sorry (well, not really) you don't feel that way. Feel free to counter any of my posts by mentioning stupid stuff I've posted in the past. I'm a grown-ass man, and I can handle it. It's a shame not everyone is, or can. Some of you are simply wound too tight for living./semi-angry rant.On topic:The more I read about this, the more I actually am starting to feel sad about the situation. There's many reasons that someone acts like a "bad guy", and it's inarguable that for most of is "adult" life, Henry acted like one. It seems like he was possibly incredibly depressed. People's depression can manifest itself in many different ways (or remain completely hidden), it's clear that his was coming out in the form of anti-social and lawless behavior, probably as a (I know it's cliche) "cry for help" that never came (or maybe came too late.) It sucks that our system doesn't really help people like him, and it also didn't help that his status as a pro athlete probably made it so that he didn't get the time away that he needed, or the help he needed, because strings could have been pulled just to get him back on the field asap. The fact that this may have been a suicide really does make it borderline tragic. I ain't losin' no sleep over it, but it's still kind of sad.
