There is some talk that Asoumgha may be staying in the Bay Area and is garnering some pretty strong interest from the 49ers.

nola.com is reporting that ESPN is reporting (got that?) that the Redskins have agreed to terms with the Vikings on a deal to ship McNabb to Minnesota.

Already been mentioned.

Kellen Clemens replaces McNabb and rounds out the QB stable in Washington. (They are so screwed!)

Speculation around the Jets showing interest in Randy Moss, because it looks like Edwards is on his way out.

Yeah, with the kind of cheddar they gave to Holmes, the writing is on the wall for Edwards.

The Moss rumors have been out there for a while now, how he would love to play for Rex Ryan and all that. While I've never been a "Randy Moss guy", I suppose it can't hurt to replace Braylon with a borderline HOFer like Moss. If he does sign, Moss better leave his ego at the door.

I think he has to, as this might be his last chance to prove he can be a go to guy in the NFL. Rex Ryan and especially Brian Schottenheimer won't take any of his crap.

I'm pretty sure the Jets would keep him on a short leash if he did sign. The last thing any team wants is to have Randy Moss go "Randy Moss" on a young quarterback, such as Sanchez.

PhiladelphiaEagles.com has DRC #29 listed as one of the options when ordering a custom jersey. oops

So then it's Kevin Kolb to the red birds for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, correct?

Still working out a deal, anywhere from Midrounder, 1st Rounder to DRC

You know what pisses me off? Mike Brown says that Palmer signed a contract and he wont trade him cause he feels he should honor the contract. What horse spit. How many times has he cut a guy? Why cant Brown honor contracts?

The team's right to cut a player at any time was collectively bargained and agreed to by the players. It's essentially fine print in any contract, so it's not like he's not honoring the deals. In fact, it's the very basis for the large signing bonuses that the stars get, since that's they're way of essentially guaranteeing a certain amount of money. It's a trade off - large signing bonuses but non-guaranteed contracts, or like MLB where the contracts are guaranteed and there's not large up-front bonuses. The argument that the teams don't honor contracts is really not a good one.

Arizona is offering DRC and a #2. The Eagles are holding out for DRC and a #1.

I guess Reid doesn't realize his leverage is going down by the minute. If they're really offering a 2 with a starting CB, you take that. Every day - you take that.

It could falter because both sides are not budging, but the Eagles really don't have any leverage at the moment when the other teams that were supposed to be going for Kolb are already filling out the QB position. Reason why this morning i've heard it could be down to a 2nd and 3rd round pick instead of DRC.

Exactly. Before players were talked about, I was thinking a 1 and 3 or something like that. I'd take DRC and a 2 in a heartbeat at this point since it fills an immediate need and I think that their 2 will be a good one, even with Kolb.

DeAngelo Williams re-ups with the Carolina Panthers.

I'm glad that they kept him, but I wonder if Carolina will have enough cap space to fill in more of their needs.

I mean I hope Charles Johnson isn't a one year wonder.

Great news for Who Dat Nation...Lance Moore re-ups for 5 more years in New Orleans. He's one of Brees' go-to guys and I'm glad he's staying put.

Looks happy, doesn't he? :D

BTW, we should start getting draft choice jersey numbers in the next couple of days. Kind of forgot about 'em with the lockout and all.
