MJD802 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 It looks like the back of Texas' jerseys have either the state of Texas sublimated under their numbers or it's a Nike vent system. Does anyone know what it is or are they new for the World Series?
ESTONES6 Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 This works better with picturesI think you were looking for this: SAINT IGNATIUS WILDCATS | CLEVELAND BROWNS | CLEVELAND CAVALIERS | CLEVELAND INDIANS | THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
oddball Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 From watching the game a bit, it honestly looked like sweat marks as it seemed different on each jersey. I could be wrong though.
gdu Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Definitely new uniforms and shoes. Looks to me like just a plain mesh back. I know some other teams (UNC IIRC) have worn nike uniforms this season where the swoosh is low on the leg like that.
north dakota Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Here are some highlights from the game http://www.texassports.com/allaccess/?media=247232 Woah! You think I'm Cody? My name is Carl Scott Simone and we just happen to share a birthday. BIG DEAL.
gdu Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 just noticed the heels of Texas' shoes have the same logo that Nike put on team color wristbands last season: state of nebraska with a star on omaha.
GriffinM6 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I haven't seen Texas wear full button up jerseys, only their 2-button ones. I was thinking maybe those were new unis.edit: for some reason it looked like the 3rd baseman had on a full button jersey.
Bmac Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I was in the Nike Fieldhouse store right by TD Ameritrade Park today and I got a great look at these. They had various team uniforms on display (Texas, UNC, Oregon to name a few) and I examined them for quite some time. It is definately a new jersey cut. The main part of the jersey is some sort of mix between mesh and double knit. The elongated diamond thingy is mesh on the back. The sleeves and underarm gassets are two different mesh based materials. Its quite detailed. Hopefully I can snap some pics next time. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043
