Stampman
Wow--only 5 months later--here we are, the last team of the 32 (well I did take a break for the 16 US based teams in a second league)I know there have been people looking, as the view totals go up--so thanks for coming along for the ride, and thanks to those who have left comments as well, especially MiltownMVP--who I haven't seen post anywhere for awhile.Last team--the New Brunswick Auks. The Auk is a bird similar to the Puffin, but with a tougher sounding name. They do reside in New Brunswick. The colours come from the provincial flag, although I later noticed a resemblance to an NFL team's former unis--oh well, I like them--I kept them...So here they are--comments still welcome...left to right-Home, road, home alt, road alt-I still have some other projects I'll be posting later--but for the 32 all Canadian team CFL, that's all 32...Thanks... Stampman
Well thank you, normally I don't know that I'd like an orange & red uni--but I do like these--glad you liked them, and for you I saved the best for last... Chazberg
I know this is a little off topic, but looking at the pictures just reminds me, is anyone else as disappointed with the ploptiness of the wristbands etc. in '05? The rest of the player models look amazing, but for some reason they digressed with respect to the equipment this year. charles-noerenberg.com
Tannerman
Now Stampman, when and where can we download these to play in our own version of Madden? Olympic Broadcaster Logos - BevReview.com
Stampman
Now Stampman, when and where can we download these to play in our own version of Madden? That's a good question--but I think most people on this board could design and create their own versions--and 2 teams use logos created by designers here--and I wouldn't offer those. I have shared some of the real teams designs, and a logoless helmet design (The Seals' tartan helmet--as well as the tartan endzone).Since this board doesn't have an upload option I couldn't do it here, and we're not supposed to recommend/suggest other such boards I can't really do that--but let if you let me know which ones you're interested in, I'll see what I can do... BBTV
This may be a stupid question, if so, feel free to give me a stupid answer...Do they make CFL video games in Canada? Just from the amount of projects like this on this board it seems like they may have a market up there. Or is CFL not big enough for its own game? Stampman
With the Canadian population about 10% of the US's there is concern about the size of the market. There is a demand-and I even saw an on line petition, but the ones putting up the money may fell otherwise. In the late 90's there was an overhead 2-D CFL game--but I've never played it.The closest may be Maximum Football, when it comes out. It's not the CFL per se--but it will allow customizable rules--with CFL rules in that.http://www.maximum-football.com/ Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here." FiddySicks
First up, the team I got my username from--the avatar is from 2002.The Calgary Stampeders-Colours--Red, White, and BlackHome unis-I used the white pants, as I don't like the black pants--they're the Red & White. This one was easier to get more acurate than the road uniform, unfortunately 2004 adds white collars--and yes Garcia wore #7 on the Stampeders.Stamps homeRoads-unfortunately in 2004 the middle stripe on the pants matches the jersey or the pants--in this case it's the same. As I mentioned above I don't like the black pants--and the red pants didn't look right--and for most of their history they actually wore white jersies & pants--including a similar striping on them. Here Garcia gets the pass away before being hit by Joe Montford wearing them Ticats' home alternateStamps roadHome alts--while loosely based on their actual thirds, I decide to do it a bit differently, as without the shoulder logo it looked boring.Home altsRoad alts--based on a throwback they wore a few years ago--but without the gold pants that look like they were stolen from the 49ers-road alts(did I say brief comments?) seeing as im totally computer iliterate, im curious. can you accually use these logos in the madden game? and if so, how? and finally is this feature only on PC or can you do this on a PS2 or X box? Stampman
I did these on PC, I'm not sure how it works on consoles, as I know you do have custom options, but you'd probably have to use blank helmets or find a custom logo in the game that's close. The instructions come with the game, there's a pdf file on the disc. So if you're trying it on PC and get stuck let me know-if it's on console someone else may be able to help... Stampman
Just so you know--in 2005 custom teams can only be used for exhibition games, in 2004 you can use them in Franchise mode, but not in Owner mode.Just so you know ahead of time... Stampman
With all the CFL concepts, I'm just bumping this up--scattered throughout are takes on the 2002 & or 2003 unis of the 9 actual teams, ala what is possible in Madden, and some alt ideas. I did take a few liberties, and some of the teams have change their unis since I made these...Still bumping it up... Stampman
stampman you should try a project like this for NHL 2004 or 2005. just an i dea though Ooh, I missed this reply--The customizing is different in Madden than other EA Sports games--and a little more involved. There is a tool you can download to work on the other EA sports games--but I haven't tried it yet--maybe someday when I have more time--However--if you haven't discovered it already there are others here who have made NHL designs Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
