NHL Going to Uniformed Websites

That new Devils web site is apparently not up and running via NHL.com yet. I would've thought that yesterday

would be a good time to have it launched given the release of the 2007-2008 regular season schedule.

That new banner with the Prudential Center in it looks really nice. Maybe later today, the new site will be online.

The new Anaheim Ducks site looks good as well. As I said before, I hope the Rangers are the last team to re-launch.

Add the Ducks to the list of finished team sites: http://ducks.nhl.com/

It still feels incomplete though. I'd like the banner if they did something more interesting to it.

It's the top banner that makes it feel that way. Seems that every other team has a background color that isn't black and more images to make it feel less of just meaningless black up at the top.

just my opinion.

Why would you want your team to be the last one?

LOL! I am going show the Jon Sim thing to my brother.

A few years ago we had a family draft, and after Sim had an awesome Pre-Season with the Flyers, my brother picked up Sim in the first round!

He was like " this may be a bit of a surprise, but with my first overall pick, i choose Jon Sim"

Sim went on to have a solid season of 17 goals and 15 Assists :P

Flyers fans have a little cult following with Jon Sim. It's quite humorous.

Why would you want your team to be the last one?

Being it's so late in the transition process, I just want the Rangers' current look to be the last one standing.

It's hard to describe, but I feel like I want this to be the opposite of most want in life... to be last.

Maybe it's me wanting that "saving the best for last" scenario as far as the best team site among the 30 teams.

But given they have to conform to the NHL.com layout template, it'll be tougher to pull off.

The Wild did a great job in doing so as theirs is among the very best among those that used the NHL.com layout.

By the way, the Devils new site is now finally online via NHL.com.

NHL teams might as well just go so uniform that they all only wear one uniform of different colors with the NHL shield as the crest and the team name somewhere on the arm.

All sarcasm aside, I'm highly disappointed in the NHL. Complete, complete and utter downgrade. I'm pretty irate and want to know why each and every logo change we've seen, that the logos all seem rushed, carelessly constructed, and I could go on forever.

The only logo update I found somewhat appealing were the Bruins. The rest just blow.

Thanks for the updates, Korbyn and Puck.

Looks like the Thrashers and Maple Leafs are all but set to make the transition over to their new sites any day now.

I like what the Senators have done with their banner and those sectional title bars are a nice touch.

I think the web designers for the Sharks wouldn't put up site banners with the new logo probably because:

1. the new logo has not been officially released yet (regardless of the recent leaks)

2. people like us who know where to find these "unfinished" sites not yet officially running online would find them

and then go crazy in showing them publicly

I expect the Rangers and Canadiens to be the last two teams to make the switch. That's my best guess.

I figured as much, but it was still worth mentioning before visiting the link.

But the Rangers website isn't the nicest looking. I think the new one would be much better.

Yeah, I agree. I would like to see if they do a great job on a makeover just like the Minnesota Wild did with theirs.

Or how about the Tampa Bay Devil Rays? :D

I really like the new Thrashers site. Looks better than the old one. Let's see if Toronto, Ottawa or Dallas are next.

My money's on Toronto.
