  1. Im still hoping for a Reds sale. Bob Castellini has this team one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.
  2. It was a three year moratorium back in 2016. I havent heard of a new one.
  3. I had a feeling something like this might have been in the works when they were building TQL Stadium. The Cincinnati USA Sports Commission is doing a feasibility study to bring a FBS Bowl game to Cincinnati to be played at TQL Stadium. The Cincinnati Chili Bowl would be a December bowl game and one of the few not broadcast by ESPN as this game would exclusively air on The CW. No conference partners or debut announced just yet. Id imagine maybe a school from the MAC and maybe CUSA or Sun Belt.
  4. Pele wasnt just the king of soccer. He was a king in the entire sports world. RIP "Rei"
  5. Bengals plane diverted to New York due to engine trouble https://www.wlwt.com/article/bengals-plane-diverted/42334209
  6. Normally Id agree with this but, im scared if they change it we'll end up with another FC, SC, United, City
  7. Hearing rumors that Landon Donovans San Diego Loyal will make the move up from USL Championship to MLS in 2024. Don Garber supposedly has approved it and we are just waiting for an official announcement at this point. Bill Foley (owner of the Vegas Golden Knights) looked at putting an MLS team in Las Vegas but instead purchased Premier League Club AFC Bournemouth. Building a new stadium in Las Vegas plus the expansion cost in the MLS was too much for him and said Bournemouth was a bargain. I think Las Vegas is a no go at this point and San Diego as a strong yes to be team number 30
  8. Thats what pisses me off about the ownership today. Bob can afford anybody because he is paying the big bucks for Votto, plus they are still paying Junior even though he's retired. As soon as we bring up a guy and he becomes good or a fan favorite, he becomes to expensive and we have to dump him. All the ownership is doing to get fans to the games is bobbleheads, and milking every penny out of Big Red Machine or Pete Rose. They can only do that so much and while those guys are cool, the novelty is wearing off.
  9. Former Reds pitcher, and the only one to throw a perfect game for the franchise Tom Browning has died. He had just been arrested for DUI back in August. https://www.mlb.com/news/tom-browning-dies
  10. As a Bengals fan I agree, however as a Bengals fan i also disagree because Burrow is 3-0 vs Mahomes and I also dont want to play in Orchard Park in late January
  11. I never thought as a Bengals fan id be happy to see Cleveland win a game.
  12. This wasnt the Grand Finals, they are in their regular season. Early this week the A League announced the next 3 Grand Finals will be held in Sydney, regardless of participants. Supporters across the league have protested by walking out in the 20th minute. The match in Melbourne however took a nasty turn as supporters threw flares and invaded the pitch. Im all for protesting, but this was the wrong way to go.
  13. MLS completely funds the league. As for giving the team identites Real Monarchs are the only ones who have done that, Some teams have unofficial nicknames like the Baby Bulls (NYRB) and Los Dos (LA Galaxy). Id be for giving the teams their own identities.
  14. Not a rule. Though the two teams started before MLS Next Pro, the teams and the league were designed primary for the development of MLS teams players. Unlike other leagues this league wasnt created so fans could follow teams or come to games. Although games are open to the public and streamed online for the public to view, the league wasnt designed to be a league promoted to fans or to even make money. It was created so that MLS teams could develop their players who would otherwise warm the MLS benches all season.
  15. Because if you are a two team you do one of the following for your identity: 2 (Crew, Cincinnati, Rapids, Dynamo, Minnesota United, St Louis City, Whitecaps Timbers, Atlanta United) II (Revolution, NYCFC, Union, Toronto, Fire, Inter Miami, Sporing KC, Earthquakes, Galaxy, Red Bulls, Austin) B (Orlando City) Own Identity (North Texas SC, Real Monarchs, Tacoma Defiance, Huntsville City) Havent released Identity yet (Charlotte, LAFC)
  16. To no ones surprise, Austins MLS Next Pro club will be Austin FC II Meanwhile, Im hearing rumblings of an MLS Schedule drop some time this week.
  17. To no ones surprise, Austins MLS Next Pro club will be Austin FC II
  18. Bite your tongue. Although last night I was talking to a friend and thought that it could be possible to see the Bengals in the Super Bowl against San Francisco this year. Something about the Bengals in the Super Bowl always leads to them playing teams from California.
  19. The United States National Xtreme Football Alliance
  20. I was thinking the Island Conference of Misfit Toys
  21. Bengals are hitting it at the right time. Bengals hit the road for games against a mediocre Buccaneers (but they do have Tom Brady) and the Patriots (they still got Belichick). Then its two of the biggest games of the season at home. Monday Night football against the Bills and ending the regular season against a quarterback depleted Ravens in what I have a feeling will be a flexed to Sunday Night game for the AFC North title. Either way. The next month for the Bengals should be fun to watch.
  22. Big West was a hybrid before CUSA. In the early to mid 90s they had full members (San Jose State, Pacific, Utah State, UNLV, New Mexico State, Nevada), non football members (UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine) football only members (Louisiana Tech, Northern Illinois, Southwestern Louisiana, Arkansas State) as well as an associate member (Hawaii women sports only). Big West then dropped football after the 2000 season.
  23. What do you mean by hybrid conference? CUSA has always been at the I-A/FBS level. I know iwhen the NCAA reclassified Division I into I-A and I-AA in 1978, the Missouri Valley, Ivy, Southern and Southland Conferences were all at the I-A level, after 4 years they dropped down to I-AA, however until the mid 80s the Missouri Valley was a hybrid of I-A and I-AA schools. Tulsa, New Mexico State and Wichita State were I-A and the rest were I-AA.
