  1. Team logos have been revealed for the Binghamton Bombers, Charlotte Bootleggers, Hampton Hammerheads, and Trenton Terror of the new Pro Box Lacrosse Association
  2. Bengals debut their white helmet and uniforms Thursday night. Field getting some special touches too.
  3. Good to see a team that suspended operations for a season actually return. I believe Taft was closed for renovations and there have been talks of building a new stadium in OKC for a while now.
  4. A much needed victory for FC Cincinnati in Salt Lake tonight. We remain tied for 5th with Orlando and hold the 6th playoff spot in the East. A break from league play with FCC back in action next Wednesday for a Leagues Cup Showcase event hosting Chivas at The Tickle, then its off to Seattle on Tuesday the 27th for another crucial match.
  5. I only went to two and I paid nothing for them. In both instances my friend had the tickets, parking was already paid for and she paid for food.
  6. Remember at the beginning of the season when Reds president Phil Castellini shot off his mouth and told Reds fans "Where you gonna go?" Well its definitely not the postseason thats for sure.
  7. I think LAFC has really dampened the market for LA Galaxy. The Galaxy were once the darlings of MLS, even being in Carson. Now with LAFC arriving and being a very good club from the start and playing in LA proper, I think LAFC is starting to pull away as LAs team. I know LA can support two teams, but It might be better for the Galaxy if they were to move to maybe San Diego to once again have a market to themselves.
  8. And the mayor wonders why the Bears want to move to Arlington Heights. Maybe they should have moved the game indoors to the United Center like they did in 1932 at Chicago Stadium It was so bad Fox had to superimpose field markings because the real ones on the field couldnt be seen or had washed away.
  9. FC Cincinnati has been mathematically eliminated from capturing the wooden spoon for a fourth year in a row! Tonight FCC had their biggest win in their MLS history, a 6-0 victory over San Jose. With the win FCC jumps Columbus into 6th place in the East. This was San Joses first ever trip to Cincinnati and the last and only other meeting between the two was in 2019 in what would be Alan Koch's final game as head coach. He was replaced by Yoann Damet (interim), Ron Jans, Yoann Damet (interim) Jaap Stam, Tyrone Marshall (interim) have all come and gone since. FC Cincinnati now travels to Salt Lake for the first time ever at America First Field (new name replaces Rio Tinto Stadium, effective tonight) next Saturday followed by a Tuesday night game at Seattle
  10. That field looked almost as bad as the game in Louisville that was suspended and it wasnt even raining in New York.
  11. Congrats to Orlando City on winning the US Open Cup. It was nice to see Sacramento make it to the final. Well deserved by those boys. I missed the game as I was watching FC Cincinnati and NYCFC tonight and I almost wish I was watching the Open Cup instead. FCC was awful. Didnt even record a shot on goal until 75 minutes into the game. Plus the game was played at Citi Field and the pitch diamond looked awful. Apparently they laid the sod over the infield dirt in torrential rain. It honestly looked unsafe to play on that field tonight. The sooner NYCFC can get out of playing in baseball stadiums the better. In all honesty, I would rather see them play in a cavernous and empty MetLife Stadium, Red Bull Arena or even Rentschler Field in Hartford than see them play at Yankee or Citi anymore.
  12. Apparently an Orlando City staffer was caught spying on Sacramentos training session https://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orlando-city-soccer/os-sp-orlando-city-sacramento-republic-spying-us-open-final-20220907-trbsl3ammbdu3nioh5odlu5fxe-story.html
  13. Might just give Notre Dame some incentive to join a conference
  14. FC Cincinnati Coach Pat Noonan has been fined by MLS for criticizing officiating. Meanwhile MLS puts out weekly sponsored content asking did the officials get the call right.
  15. Tim Tebow among new group bringing USL Championship team to Jacksonville in 2025 https://www.uslchampionship.com/news_article/show/1237490
  16. VAR must have been watching a different game. Not only was he clearly offside, from any angle, there is no #6 on Cincinnati. They are literally making stuff up at this point.
  17. Another club in the laughable NISA has bit the dust. Bay Cities FC is now the second expansion club to suspend operations during the season following Valley United, While Valley suspended operations due to the fallout from illegal immigration issues. Bay Cities has shut down due to financial constraints. As a result, the league has now ditched divisions and is now aligned in a single table. The standings have been revised using an average points per game total, with results against Bay Cities being left intact. The leagues other two expansion clubs (Flower City Union and Syracuse Pulse) will be lucky to even finish the season as they have had issues too. This league is such a joke it needs to go away or at least drop to amateur status.
  18. a goal for Columbus was offside by a mile and VAR said no need to take a look. Even Crew fans were confused. Then way too much stoppage time was added (6 min, more like 4) and Columbus scores in the 95 minute to bring Hell is Real to a 2-2 draw that should have been an FCC win. PRO really must have a thing against Cincinnati, its absolutely unreal. Every week its the same thing. VAR screws Cincinnati and PRO officials are horrible. Now im not saying its only affecting FC Cincinnati, Its definitely affecting the rest of the league too but FCC certainly is taking the brunt of it.
  19. The past three seasons for FC Cincinnati fans have complained about not winning, bad coaching and GM and finding new ways to lose to wind of with the wooden spoon. This season fans are complaining about inept officiating and a useless VAR. FCC has given up more penalties this season than any other team and many of them were iffy or called after VAR review. There have been several iffy VARs going against FCC but when its the other way around nothing is called.. Its a joke week after week. Fans are starting to think that PRO is fixing the games against FCC. Tonight VAR took a suspeciously long look at Matt Miazgas goal, when it was clearly a good goal. Not even close to being offside. Later VAR intervened and determined there was a foul in the box for a penalty. It was a soft foul if that. But it seems everything this season when it comes to officiating is going against FC Cincinnati but never the other way around.
  20. Individual sports (golf, tennis, wrestling, racing, etc) I can really only get in to basketball during March Madness. Used to not care about soccer until FCC came to town. Now Im slowly starting to lose interest in baseball.
  21. The 20,000th regular season MLS goal was scored tonight in Cincinnati and its controversial. Andrew Gutman scores for Atlanta but many FCC fans believe he is just a hare offside.
  22. Compared to all the other "two" clubs Loudoun is drawing very well. Compared to the rest of the league yes they are not drawing well. If DC dumps them and Loudoun gets an independent club with their own identity then maybe they might draw more
  23. Loudoun has been one of the few "two" teams that actually draw fans. If they pull something similar to what Seattle did (rebrand from Seattle Sounders 2 to Tacoma Defiance) in having their own identity, I think they might be able to draw more and survive. Tacoma brought was one of the two teams that managed to bring in fans and have their own identity (at least until covid hit and the move to MLS Next Pro. As far as I know MLS Next Pro doesnt report attendance so Im not sure how they are doing now)
  24. Many fans are already calling it PayJoe Stadium. While Im disappointed that they didnt keep Paul Brown in some part of the name, at least its a local company. Also disappointed that the company wasnt Pure Romance (a sex toy company, based in Cincinnati) so that we could have Pure Romance for the Bengals and The Tickle (TQL Stadium) for FC Cincinnati.
