Hearing rumors that Landon Donovans San Diego Loyal will make the move up from USL Championship to MLS in 2024. Don Garber supposedly has approved it and we are just waiting for an official announcement at this point. Bill Foley (owner of the Vegas Golden Knights) looked at putting an MLS team in Las Vegas but instead purchased Premier League Club AFC Bournemouth. Building a new stadium in Las Vegas plus the expansion cost in the MLS was too much for him and said Bournemouth was a bargain. I think Las Vegas is a no go at this point and San Diego as a strong yes to be team number 30

Thats what pisses me off about the ownership today. Bob can afford anybody because he is paying the big bucks for Votto, plus they are still paying Junior even though he's retired. As soon as we bring up a guy and he becomes good or a fan favorite, he becomes to expensive and we have to dump him. This wasnt the Grand Finals, they are in their regular season. Early this week the A League announced the next 3 Grand Finals will be held in Sydney, regardless of participants. Supporters across the league have protested by walking out in the 20th minute. The match in Melbourne however took a nasty turn as supporters threw flares and invaded the pitch. Im all for protesting, but this was the wrong way to go.

MLS completely funds the league. As for giving the team identites Real Monarchs are the only ones who have done that, Some teams have unofficial nicknames like the Baby Bulls (NYRB) and Los Dos (LA Galaxy). Id be for giving the teams their own identities.

Not a rule. Though the two teams started before MLS Next Pro, the teams and the league were designed primary for the development of MLS teams players. Unlike other leagues this league wasnt created so fans could follow teams or come to games. Although games are open to the public and streamed online for the public to view, the league wasnt designed to be a league promoted to fans or to even make money. It was created so that MLS teams could develop their players who would otherwise warm the MLS benches all season.

What do you mean by hybrid conference? CUSA has always been at the I-A/FBS level. I know iwhen the NCAA reclassified Division I into I-A and I-AA in 1978, the Missouri Valley, Ivy, Southern and Southland Conferences were all at the I-A level, after 4 years they dropped down to I-AA, however until the mid 80s the Missouri Valley was a hybrid of I-A and I-AA schools. Tulsa, New Mexico State and Wichita State were I-A and the rest were I-AA.
