  1. They did it. They killed Tree.
  2. Hockey has shown that there's a new model where minor league profits are completely ignored in favor of player development needs. So, there's completely a path forward for the big club to play off the Strip and the minor league still hanging around in Summerlin.
  3. Everyone forgets that Montreal had three huge issues that killed the Expos outside of the market. 1. Olympic Stadium was a pit from the moment it opened in a bad location. 2. The fanbase never forgave the league for the 94 strike killing the Expos’ best season in team history. 3. Jeffrey Loria.
  4. After discussion, we've decided to fully remove the gender field of profiles and will not move forward with a pronouns field.
  5. You also have to take into account that some minor league teams exist with no intent of drawing any sort of profit. The South Bay Lakers play at the Lakers’ training facility that only has 750 seats. So, in the case of the Athletics it’s entirely possible that they could force the Aviators to have 8:30-9:00 AM first pitches to avoid the heat knowing full well that it’ll be a ghost town in the stands.
  6. You’d think that a home jersey wouldn’t need a reminder that could be read from space what state the game’s being played in. Yeesh.
  7. The real winner in this whole scenario may be Fresno. If Summerlin is taken over then they'll potentially be right back up in AAA after being swatted down to Low-A after the whole minor league reshuffle.
  8. Bravo to the Bidwells. With all the insurance money they got on Kyler’s salary they bought themselves one hell of a fancy leakproof box.
  9. The real question… at 4,200 ft, would it be in poor taste for a community that frowns on smoking to procure a humidor?
  10. The Wolves for years have been a thorn in the side of whatever NHL club they had an agreement with by continuing to go rogue and ignoring whatever development plan was set up. With the stringent AHL rules on non-NHL players I don't see how they're going to maintain a roster let alone pay for a whole team without the parent club footing the bill.
  11. No, the media kisses their asses year after year. This was the year where the media played mental gymnastics thinking that they really were going to pull it off since everyone except their collective hive mind was writing them off and there’d be no pressure. Plus, Drew Timme gave them the first actual Zag golden boy to fawn over since Morrison.
