  1. I hope they unveil it with John Rocker wearing it. Brewers are back on the road and back in navy tonight. Have the road grays been seen yet?
  2. Well, the Detroit Wheels played at Eastern in Ypsilanti. It, uh, could have gone better.
  3. Those photos show embroidery on the crest and patches, though. Everything on the new Fanatics & Ness NHL jerseys is done in lousy screened twill.
  4. Those Michigan numbers are starting to look like a problem. Do we know what teams are doing in terms of outreach to their local markets?
  5. The Rapid City Marshals' new helmets are very clearly not here, as that is just an image dragged onto a photo of a blank helmet.
  6. If they flipped the positions of the outer text it would at least read as "CITY OF BROTHERLY LVE - PHILADELPHIA." This whole outfit really could have used some C&C.
  7. Given what other teams are experiencing, I can hazard a guess.
  8. Incredible game marred by an all-time horror of a call. The conspiracy theorists were looking for any reason since Monday, and they could not have crafted a better one on their own.
  9. This is an organization that considers John Fisher to be an owner in good standing.
  10. Add the Brewers to the list. Their City Connect jerseys have yet to arrive.
  11. From Evan Drellich and Ken Rosenthal's article in The Athletic:
  12. Finally, yoga pants designed for a man's needs!
  13. I love how that numeral font is just different enough to be "the Reds" on sight without any of the bespoke bullcrap we've seen on so many modified block numerals in the NFL. Now that the "temporary" move to Sacramento is official, my guess on the A's 2025 uniforms is this: No change to the home whites, the road grays get the "Athletics" script across the front instead of "Oakland," the kelly green jerseys get mothballed, and the still-active yellow alts get pulled out of storage. Like everything involving the Fisher A's, the bare minimum will be done.
  14. The White Sox delayed a game because they could not find their first base coach, had said game called in the 8th by their social media team, but team officials couldn't officially tell the press the game was called until about 20 minutes later, lost the called game in another shutout, and then signed back Mike Clevinger. This is a dark ride.
  15. No, this is just an upcharge strategy New Era has implemented for several years. Slap a couple of patches on the side of an existing 59Fifty and up the price $5-10.
  16. Yeah, that's been a fashion jersey for a good while. The big jersey store by me actually has black Ohtani jerseys in youth sizes, and they're devoid of all the little City Connect affectations, so I wouldn't read anything into it.
  17. So it's looking like this may be a case of Fanatics being unable to deliver four full uniform sets to every team on time. The Mariners aren't wearing their blue/yellow/cream Sunday alts because they haven't been delivered. The Cardinals aren't expecting their powder blues to arrive until June. Maybe the White Sox throwbacks are in similar production limbo, or as is the case with so many Fanatics orders, unable to depart the FedEx facility in West Allis, Wisconsin after being shipped there for reasons unknown.
  18. Considering that last season there wasn't an ESPN-branded sportsbook app, I would not get my hopes up on that front.
  19. Now that plain white has been "optimized" to off-white by Nike and Fanatics, the off-white of the Phillies' alts seems to be a downright unpleasant shade of almost-yellow.
  20. Michigan's QB is wearing faux jersey sleeves. Basically flaps of jersey material that come down from the shoulders but don't actually wrap around the upper arm. It's odd.
  21. Per Paul Lukas, the Royals were forced to switch from normal-sized player names in Spring Training to the new tiny ones for the regular season, due to an unknown entity demanding "consistency."
  22. USFL revived two red/gold teams with the Stallions and Stars, and needed to differentiate. So they moved Philly to athletic gold and gave Birmingham the white britches.
