  1. The actual logo of the sponsor is only taking up like 30% or less of the giant square. Basically, you're just gonna see a void in the pinstripes outlined in red.
  2. That is the reason. The stripe has nothing to do with mobility. But the reduction of the size of the sleeve for mobility purposes affects/restricts the ability to have the stripe go fully around the sleeve.
  3. But far fewer regulations and restrictions than the NFL.
  4. But why would you think the Bucs would no longer wear their primary home look?
  5. While I agree both Columbus (or Canton) and even Raleigh, NC are on my list of potential sites, San Diego should be the next one up. Now that may be as simple as relocating the Vipers (under a different name), but either way, I think Raleigh would be a little down the list, while Columbia, SC/South Carolina in general are not even on the list. The XFL, and USFL to that effect, are more or less, trying to establish a major league Spring League. Now I interpret that as "major league markets" without an NFL team, i.e., St. Louis and San Antonio... and hopefully soon, San Diego. South Carolina is nowhere near that realm. Just because a city has a college stadium, doesn't mean the market itself lends to professional football. Birmingham has a long history of Spring Football even though they're not likely to ever get an NFL team, so they've kinda proven themselves to be an exception to the rules. But SC has no track record of this and I don't think the XFL would try and test a very unproven market this early in their existence while still trying to full establish themselves.
  6. Wait... I missed their second series?
  7. Yes, it does appear that he is compartmentalizing his athletic aesthetic portfolio.
  8. They would have to convince the Raiders to let them play there after they already turned them down once and then failed to even fill up a 9300-seat stadium.
  9. Who's gonna buy a "manager hat"? In baseball, the hat is literally part of the on-field uniform, unlike football, where it's merely sideline attire. The same hat needs to be worn across the board.
  10. Not really. They want to get people to enter now, not wait until after the unveiling, which would only be 10 days before the draft, as opposed to 24 days now. All it says is a jersey from their first draft pick. I'm sure most fans would be ok if it's not the jersey pictured.
  11. How is it "beautiful" to see a manager/coach wear a number for no reason? Not to mention you might the only person in existence to ever refer to it as "beautiful".
  12. Why is it saddening? Because it's not YOUR opinion?
  13. You're assuming that availability of numbers is the only reason. It's not. It's a logical one. But not the only one. The fact that managers/coaches wear numbers in the first place, purely out of tradition, is something I, a rather traditionalist baseball fan, find absurd. It makes not sense. Baseball pants with either one of the tops they already usually wear, or a jersey without a number are just fine. AND justifiable.
  14. Just because something's "the norm", doesn't mean it's automatically unchangeable. You have to look at it at a case-by-case basis. To me, personally, I see no reason for managers/coaches to be wearing numbers. It makes no sense. Even if base coaches still wore a regular jersey, just their name without a number would still look ok and appropriate.
  15. I'm primarily rooting for a big crowd in San Antonio. That second game was terrible timeslot, so hopefully this week, despite a losing record, will see a big turnout. DC at Seattle should be a good game and I hope a 4:00pm local start time will produce a big crowd like their only other weekend home game. Seriously, if it weren't for some badly scheduled games, the attendance figures would be a decent amount better. Not on par with their 2020 figures, but better than what we're seeing. St. Louis will significantly drive up those figures over the last 3 weeks. And just maybe, Orlando's win over DC will get a few more butts in the seats this weekend against Arlington. Although, they're still playing at Camping World Stadium, so who knows.
  16. The hats were literally the exact same orange hats made by New Era. The oranges only differentiated in print, where the Astros use pantone 173 (which is darker than their uniform orange) and the Marlins used Warm Red, which they called "red-orange", and also different than the stock orange of the hats (pantone 172). And Miami never called it "Mandarin".
  17. The best description of OKC's logo from these here boards was "a guitar pick skiing down a mountain of suck".
  18. It's kind of telling that he's signing with the XFL, who's in week 7 of 10, rather than the USFL who hasn't started playing and ends closer to training camp. Are these last few games all he think he needs or does he feel the XFL is better or provides a better opportunity? I'd actually like to hear his reasoning.
  19. First off, how does that say they 'don't know what they're doing"? And black and orange on black isn't "bold", it's literally what the Giants have done a number of times over the last 20+ years. Orange-only on a black jersey works fines. Very noticeable and legible. Similar to how the Pirates don't need a white outline on their black jerseys.
  20. I "pantoned" those out in Illustrator. Interesting.
