  1. First off, how does that say they 'don't know what they're doing"? And black and orange on black isn't "bold", it's literally what the Giants have done a number of times over the last 20+ years. Orange-only on a black jersey works fines. Very noticeable and legible. Similar to how the Pirates don't need a white outline on their black jerseys.
  2. I "pantoned" those out in Illustrator. Interesting.
  3. You grabbing somebody like that is not the equivalent of them call you a b****. If Rendon had said something to a security guard or whoever, about the guy, then, depending on what he did say, he maybe could've been ejected and banned from the stadium. But once Rendon grabbed him... I like Rendon, but this was unwarranted. Especially if that's all the guy said.
  4. I believe the umpire has discretion. But I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of teams send out their trainer a lot more often just to ensure that the clock does not run.
  5. The orange Marlins color scheme debuted in 2012, the year before the Astros in 2013.
  6. Oregon and Washington are atop the Big Ten's wish list for west coast company for UCLA and USC. The four corner schools, as it stands, appear to be most likely destined for the Big 12 if they were to leave.
  7. Not to the best of my knowledge.
  8. No. It's not implied. The Braves wore their throwbacks for multiple games, even if they were never technically designated as an alternate. Therefore, they would not fall under the "one game use". When you see teams wearing Negro League throwbacks, they're not counted as an alternate. Merely throwbacks for THAT game. Maybe they will use these in games where they would've worn those specific throwbacks. But the tweet above does not seem to preclude the use of throwbacks for one game.
  9. Actually, it doesn't. Schiller never specified if they would've worn the throwbacks for one game or multiples. All we know is they can't use a throwback as a regular/semi-regular alternate. Therefore, a one-game throwback is very much up in the air at the moment.
  10. Realmuto wouldn't be fined for this, anyway.
  11. When I think vests, I think Pirates more than any other team. IMO, if one team wears them, it should be the Pirates. The Reds should look like this.
  12. Yeah, it seems from a player's perspective, especially those who were on an NFL roster or practice squad, is that the XFL starting immediately after the Super Bowl means they're already in game playing shape and can get going right away rather than having to sit around and wait for a few months only to then be possibly too close to NFL training camp.
  13. I just assumed Realmuto had eyes on the back of his head.
  14. Oregon State and Washington State have been members since the days of the Pacific Coast Conference (if one agrees they share the same lineage), 1915 and 1917, respectively. With the formation of the AAWC, Washington State joined in 1962 and Oregon State in 1964. In other words, these are long time members since well before the days of markets and tv deals. I've heard of very few, if any, conferences kicking members out because they're not up to the level of the rest of the league. But that is where they become picky on letting new members in. If the Pac-12 goes the way we think it is, Oregon State and Washington State could end up being conference-mates with Fresno State in the Mountain West. Or in a diluted Pac-12.
  15. I, personally, think San Diego will be the 30th. They already have a likely stadium at Snapdragon, so the infrastructure aspect is out of the way. Even if a Las Vegas team ended up playing at Allegiant, it doesn't appear to be as close to set as San Diego would be. And then Phoenix and Sacramento are even more questionable on how soon a stadium would be ready. This gives San Diego a decidable advantage, at least as far as first one to begin playing goes.
  16. They're not going anywhere at the moment. But speculation has them going back to the Big 12 with Utah and the Arizona schools. Not saying they would turn down the Big Ten if invited, just that that's not where they're perceived to go. If Oregon-Washington leave (most likely Big Ten, Big 12 at the very least) and the 4-Corner schools follow suit, the Pac-12, even if the name remains with whatever number, will cease to be the Power 5 conference that it is and has been. By that time, both Fresno State and UNLV would likely be in the conference, but it'll be a Big East/AAC situation. Basically just the better Mountain West schools. Kinda like how the AAC is basically just the better Conference USA schools "moved up" what was the Big East to try and fill the void left by its top schools bailing for Power conferences.
  17. Not necessarily. Although I think they'll get one anyway. Just not BECAUSE the won a National title.
  18. This leads me to believe that they're possibly bringing back the gold jersey to replace one of the green jerseys because the city connect jersey is gonna be more greenbased.
  19. Deion is most likely the head coach-in-waiting for Florida State.
  20. For one thing, we don't need a new coach. Becht is doing fine. Second, I don't think we want a coach associated with losing in St. Louis, both games AND the team. His most memorable moment associated with St. Louis is when the Rams beat his Titans in the Super Bowl.
