  1. Because the thread was called "infrared41's Best and Worst?" It was. You didn't need a special code or password to participate in it. Maybe you should take a look at how I did those lists. I don't think you get how they worked.
  2. I can't think of anyone I'd rather see pick up the torch. You have my blessing and the blessing of the M-XII. (Final vote was 22-5 @Sec19Row53) I may even occasionally drop in and do my own lists here and there if it's OK with you. Call it what you want, but I have to admit that I like the sound of "infrared41 presents BBTV's Best and Worst of the Week."
  3. Technically, he only ruined it the one time. Blame radio for anything after that.
  4. You both do realize that every time someone says something like that, the hex only grows stronger, right?
  5. I thought the same thing. Could be we're both going crazy. Also, keep the D just like it is, Chiefs.
  6. As a Browns fan, I'm rooting for them too. That being said, the Browns will go 9-8 and miss the playoffs. You heard it here first.
  7. At least not from the uniform and logo angle. If Dan Synder came to these here boards and started a thread asking for ideas, he'd have at minimum 10 viable options within 24 hours. (Not counting the ones already here) And they'd all probably be better than whatever bull- the hacks in Beaverton would come up with. Viva la coceptos seccion!
  8. Washington Soccer Workforce is sitting there waiting for you, Dan Snyder.
  9. I call it the 2020 effect. 2020 makes things that happened six months ago feel like they happened 6 years ago. I just celebrated an insignificant anniversary of something that took place on July 11, 2020. It feels like that little event took place five years ago. 2020 really knocked us off our time axis or whatever you want to call it. I've been around a long time and I can't remember a year that has as much of a "before and after" feel. Even 2001 never felt like this. Since I'm here, the new Rams jerseys are pretty solid. Nothing to write home about, but it could have been a lot worse. I give them a 7.
  10. Everything is in a better location than Tropicana Sam's Club. Awful stadium, awful location. Honestly, I'm surprised it's worked as well as it has and that ain't saying much. That being said, as I've stated numerous times on these here boards and elsewhere (like the official podcast of CCSLC) baseball will never work in Florida. You can build all the stadiums you want wherever you want, but it won't matter. The only thing dumber than putting a team in Florida was putting two teams in Florida.
  11. I shudder to think about how much money the four of us have dumped into this thing over 9 years. We've been in the red since day one. We're still in the red on appx. day 3,000.
  12. FWIW, over the nine years we've been doing BASS, I've done multiple podcasts unrelated to CCSLC as have my co-hosts. We've never promoted them here because they have nothing to do with CCSLC. BASS is hosted entirely by CCSLC members and it's very CCSLC-centric. BASS is also born of a podcast that was the original official podcast of these here boards, the Logocast. Do we have listeners outside CCSLC? Yes, but BASS is a podcast that is produced by CCSLC members for CCSLC members. Anything past that is just icing on the cake. All that being said, I'd be willing to give your show a listen. If it's well produced, has good sound quality, and is engaging, I'd be happy to help you promote it via BASS on our non-CCSLC outlets. Frankly, my biggest concern is that you'll be like most people who decide they want to do a podcast. You'll do a show or two , realize how much work it really is, and bail on it. Doing a show for 9 years isn't as easy as it looks. Trust us on that. Hope that helps.
  13. I see one of those "brother I never knew I had" shows in their future.
  14. Mostly by hack Sports Journalist-Americans. I'm willing to risk it.
  15. The access would still remain equal. We'd just lose the dick waving. I'd call that a win all around.
  16. It's not. I spent a few years covering games in MiLB, the IHL, and NCAA Football and Basketball. The absolute worst thing about the job was going into the clubhouse right after the game ended. The team doesn't want you there, odds are that you're not going to get any worthwhile info, and it's about as uncomfortable a situation as I've ever been in. The same players who were totally cool with talking to you before a game hated your guts after a game. Being in the locker room right after a game is straight up weird. I never got used to it and I've never understood why sports writers think it's so important. The player who hits the walk off HR or scores the game winning TD isn't going to forget all about it 30 minutes after the game. If anything, they're more likely to give better quotes if you give them a little space. FWIW, the best post game interview I ever got was with Syracuse Crunch goalie, Mike Fountain. It took place in the parking garage a good hour after the game was over. I'd bet anything that he would not have been as friendly or accommodating if he'd had to answer my questions right after he got out of the shower.
  17. The 80's Browns had Robert E. Jackson and Robert L. Jackson.
  18. The MLB draft has like 75 rounds so I'd say the odds are decent that it's happened at least once in all these years.
