  1. I gave it my best shot based on what little I know about how it works. As Ice_Cap pointed out, most of the mods have no idea how the forums software and coding works. You might try asking one of the admins about it. But like I said, those numbers don't really mean anything in the first place. Sure, it's kinda cool to "win the day" or see yourself on the weekly leader board, but other than that, it does exactly nothing for your actual reputation around here. Frankly, I wish it were called something else because calling it "reputation" gives it way more importance than it actually has. Anyway, if we can help with anything else, don't hesitate to ask. Wish we could have given you a better answer.
  2. Honestly, it’s not worth worrying about. The numbers are meaningless. Did you get all 11 likes in a 24 hour period? If not, then it’s not going to show up. For example, if 6 likes were before midnight and 5 were after midnight, the likes will be spread over the two days.
  3. The reputation thing is based on liked posts. 11 might get you on the daily list, but you are not coming close to the weekly or overall list with that number. Usually, the weekly list leader has between 80-120 (or more) likes on a post or posts. With regard to the overall - career list, if you will - you're currently at 308. To give you an example, my "career" number is 5,671 and I'm not even in shouting distance of the top 10 or whatever it is. Basically, to get where you looking to get, keep posting good stuff, I guess.
  4. You can look up the daily numbers too. That’s probably where you’ll find what you’re looking for. Try this...https://boards.sportslogos.net/pastleaders/
  5. Folks, it’s adding a click or two. It’s not like finding a thread suddenly became more difficult than piloting the space shuttle. We’ve survived bigger changes than this. It might take a little getting used to, but I promise it will all work out.
  6. Pretty much. TV is a more prestigious gig and it probably pays a lot better.
  7. It’s pretty dated looking today, but when I was a kid, I always thought the logo and color scheme from a company my Dad drove for would make a cool looking football helmet. I always wanted Interstate to sponsor my little league team so we could wear the colors and have the logo on our hats and jerseys.
  8. Last fall, I discovered that Pro Football Reference has this thing that lets you look up any and all scores from NFL games. For example, you can see a list of every game that had a final score of 27-10, etc. From that, I found the following scoreboard trivia. Most of it is stuff about the Cleveland Browns. (as of November of 2017) The Cleveland Browns have won more games (4) by a score of 6-3 than any other NFL team - including the two most recent 6-3 games. (2009 and 2011) In the entire history of the NFL, there have been five games with a final score of 29-6. The New England Patriots won two of them. In the entire history of the team, the Cleveland Browns have never played in a game in which the final score was 21-13 win or lose. (That seems almost impossible to me.) The Cleveland Browns have never won a game by the score of 10-6. They have lost four times by a score of 10-6 - two of those 10-6 losses happened within six weeks of each other in the 2008 season. The Cleveland Browns - both the original Browns and the Browns version 2.0 - have never played a game in which the final score was 35-34. In the history of the NFL, there have been exactly five games with a score of 47-17. The San Diego Chargers were losers of the first two of those games. The teams the Chargers lost to? The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns. The Cleveland Browns have never won a game by the score of 34-31. The Browns are, however, one of just two Super Bowl Era NFL teams to win a game by the score of 51-0. The Browns did it in the opening game of the 1989 season at Pittsburgh.
  9. I remember Tony LaRussa wearing an AL Champs ring years ago on the cover of Sports Illustrated. I tried to find a picture, but I couldn't find one with a clear enough shot of the ring. Anyway, yeah, if I were an MLB player and I got a League Championship ring, I'd wear that thing every day. Sure, you lost the World Series, but you still won the pennant in your league. IMO, there is absolutely no shame in wearing an NFL Conference Champions or MLB League Champions ring.
  10. That is one fine looking ring. Nicely done, Super Bowl Champion Eagles.
  11. This is based solely on my own experience, but I can sort of answer your question, Curt. Back in the day when I was covering AAA Baseball and College Sports, I ran across former players that ended up coaching, scouting, in the front office, etc., and quite a few of them wore their conference or league championship rings. Best I could gather, most of these people didn't start wearing the rings until after their playing careers were over. I also saw more then a few coaches who wore them too. Most of the former players were guys that were basically career Minor Leaguers that played a season or two in the bigs and managed to score a ring in the process. My point, I suppose, is that wearing a "second place" ring is not all that uncommon.
  12. Yeah, I can't say it breaks this Ohio State fan's heart to see that asshat got his walking papers.
  13. I wouldn't be so sure about that. In my years of covering sports, I've run across a lot of ex-players that proudly wear their MLB league championship rings. It was usually guys who are coaching or scouting in the minors. I've even seen ex-players wearing their AAA championship rings. Hell, back in the 80's Tony LaRussa was wearing his Oakland AL Champs ring on the cover of SI. You'd be surprised by how many football players wear NFL conference title rings or college conference and bowl championship rings. My guess is you don't see many players wearing that type of ring while they're still playing, but once their career is over, why the hell not? An AL Champions ring is still a ring you got while playing professional baseball. It's not like everyone has one.
  14. We should team up on the likes and overtake the people in front of us.
  15. 1. No surprise there. Your posts never are. 2. No, you're not, but that's beside the point...where are these "rankings?" EDIT: Found them.
  16. Yup. I was talking about what a douchebag Bayless is all the way back in 1996 on my old radio show.
  17. Love it. You really captured the essence of that pup. And like everyone else, I love the background. Mighty fine work, OldSchool.
  18. So...I got this Visa gift card for Christmas. I've been kicking around the idea of trying my hand at painting. Now I'm thinking of spending the gift card on some materials. Any suggestions for a good "starter" set up?
  19. I really like it. Just my interpretation, but the first word that comes to mind when I look at it is powerful - if that makes any sense. (See what I was saying about my critical chops, Josh?)
  20. FWIW, I'm keeping up on the thread and reading all the posts. Unfortunately, my art critic chops basically consist of "wow, that's really good" or "it's good work, but not my style." I didn't see my limited knowledge adding much to the conversation. Anyway, the geometric/abstract is very interesting.
  21. I'm not a fan of monochrome looks (except all white) but I really like the Jags black jersey with white pants combo. I guess that's half an unpopular opinion.
