  1. I hated that set so much. It just looked like "me-too" after the Falcons and Cardinals had similar looks. The Falcons' set has had some staying power, but to me, there was nothing particularly unique or interesting about the old Vikings and current Cardinals sets. They look like change for change's sake, and I'm glad the Vikings already got rid of theirs. It'd be nice if the Cardinals did the same -- the Tillman-era uniforms were really spectacular.
  2. BEST Falcons combination imo. They look too similar to the Cardinals with black helmets in their current combination. That was my favorite Falcons look too. The road version (white over black) was especially slick:
  3. I actually had a malware experience the other day that I noticed first on this site, but may have been picked up elsewhere. Firefox installed an "adbomb" (or something similar) plug-in, which underlined half of the words on the page, and opened up links any time I moved down the page. I was able to remove it, but it took some doing. Sometimes these things are picked up from images people link from elsewhere. Though I didn't realize iOS could be hijacked that way.
  4. I have disposable income and free time on the weekends. I would go see a hockey game or two!
  5. Those black pants were terrific, and looked especially great with the white shirt. I wish they'd bring them back. EDIT: Not sure this exactly qualifies for the thread, but remember when the Cardinals wore all-red in their old set for a bit? That sure looked dumb:
  6. You guys have to start identifying the hockey players.
  7. Just curious: how does banning work? When you're banned, can you still lurk? Is your IP and/or email blocked from signing up for a new account?
  8. I don't understand. Is there a financial gain people are making from posting concepts on their instagram accounts? Making more parts of the forum private seems like a good idea.
  9. 1987 Topps was a good year, but not as striking as 1986, or as memorable (to me) as 1990 -- which was the last time I collected an entire year of baseball cards the long way, pack by pack. 1988 and 1989 have the negative of looking too similar to each other. 1986: 1988: 1989: 1990 (and here's your bonus player in a wrong uniform):
  10. 2:30:30 - What is this guy going on about? 2:40:50. Even better the second time around. 3:42:50 - Oh eff you all over again. I couldn't even finish.
  11. What about the Phoenix University "We crunched the numbers" guy? I hope he's included on one of these chains, preferably one with "COYOTES_$$$.XLS" as an attachment.
  12. Not after he won two Super Bowls in those uniforms. They kind of erased the disappointment of all of the previous years.
  13. Going with the Gary Carter photo, I remember as a kid having my mind blown that this happened:
  14. Maybe it's an IE11 thing? I can't get the mobile site to load on my phone or my Dell Venue 8 Pro. There isn't even an option to load it (which is weird).
  15. Not to worry. They'd just move it to the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. This is a really awesome joke if you know your Wrestlemania history.
  16. Oh, FU citizens of Glendale. I was bored a couple of months ago and I could have been watching genuine NHL hockey. Free tickets for donut. Arizona is the absolute worst.
  17. Is the "Like This" button tied into Facebook? Or is it specific to this site?
  18. Well that's it. I have no faith anymore in a University of Phoenix education.
  19. Sounds like MLB should buy out Loria, dump the Marlins, and move the Rays organization to Miami. We all win that way, yeah?
  20. Anyway, there shouldn't be any concerns about funding because that UofP student crunched the numbers.
  21. It's been a while, but I paid $5 to see the Reds at Great American. When I moved to Seattle in 2006, my first M's game was $7. Now I think bleacher seats are around $10-11.
