  1. I’m not really a soccer fan, but I love the aesthetics of soccer crests and St. Louis is my “sports hometown”, so I’m really interested in St Louis MLS. Something like the USL look would be fine. Although blue/green kinda feels like it’s the Sounders thing right? I think red/blue/gold would be ideal, but that’s just aping RSL’s colors, which Chicago has already latched onto with their ill received rebrand. I think a dark cherry red or burgundy and old-gold could look really sharp and it would be a unique color scheme in MLS.
  2. Looks good. It’s funny how you can really not change much and take the Falcons uniforms from an absolute mess to not bad. I don’t love the gray pants, but it’s better than primarily monochrome black. I might suggest single-color numbers instead of an outline too.
  3. This particular concept is my attempt at throwing out the bathwater while saving the baby. I actually think the Atlanta Falcons had a lot of good ideas and concepts going on in their new uniforms that were pushed aside by the trendy, gimmicky design choices that really hold the overall uniform back. We have fewer combos and professional looking, white-bottomed socks. I kinda like the idea of the "side shadow" numerals, so i kept that idea, but I changed the number font so something more reflective of the wordmark. The gradient is gone and the red alternate jersey is the only on to feature the big ATL. As far as I'm concerned, the Falcons really only need white pants, but i have included black pants here to allow for some more mixing and matching. Lastly, the helmet is chrome/silver free and the finish would be the same high gloss black that was used before the redesign. I think if Atlanta had shown some restraint, they could have had the same ideas/concepts going on in the uniforms, but with a much more professional look. The devil is in the details. Thanks for taking a look and as always, I'm open to any and all feedback.
  4. Taking a stab at the obligatory Rams fix today. I updated the logos by removing all of the segmentation and gradients in the horns, simplifying everything. I also added a mouth to the Ram logo. Basically what I did was simplify and tone down everything, creating a contemporary version of the Rams uniforms most of us actually wanted. Thanks for taking a look and as always, any feedback is appreciated.
  5. Pretty much spot on. I don’t love the white stripe on the yellow or blue pants but I can live with it. Otherwise, it’s exactly how the Rams’ new uniforms should look, after ditching all of the silly crap.
  6. Looks good. I really like the simplicity of the stripes on the jersey. The only change I would like to see would be to use black socks with the home uniform, but that’s a minor nitpick. Also, I can appreciate the creativity of the Cardinals and Ravens but... yikes. There’s som potential with the AZ color scheme, but the grey/brown needs tweaking. It’s very “pukey”. Its got too much green in it.
  7. The brown outline isn’t bad on the orange jersey but maybe try a drop shadow? There would be a precedent for the Browns and it adds to the old-school vintage look you’re going for with the cream
  8. Not crazy about the orange outline on the numbers. I think the Browns should be a single-color number team for life. Love the off white though.
  9. The concept itself is nice, but I’ve never seen a Kelly green Eagles concept that I wouldn’t like better with a darker midnight green. Currently it leans a little too blue, but midnight green is the way to go, IMO.
  10. Honestly, a red helmet and a black jersey is probably my least favorite look for the Falcons. I don’t want to go anywhere near that combo. I think a black helmet is the way to go for the Dirty Birds.
  11. A sycamore is a pretty unique tree with a distinctive leaf shape: You’d think Indiana State would be all over using it in their branding. I’ll echo the sentiment about the oversimplification of the state outline. It really doesn’t even look like Indiana anymore. The old logo wasn’t great but I think I’d take it over what is replacing it.
  12. Next up in this mini-series is the Atlanta Falcons. Unlike most around here, I don’t hate the Falcons outgoing uniforms, they are definitely a product of their time, but I think they are at least a well done product of their time. Nevertheless, I agree that they could use some updates. I started with the logo. I really like the overall shape of the current logo, but the silver outline, weird eye and fat claw give the bird a bit of a robo-bird feel. So, I toned down the claw and gave the logo some smoother, more elegant curves The idea behind the uniforms was to design them today with the same ideas/inspiration as the 2004 uniform/logo change. I chose to go with big bold slashes of color, instead of traditional stripes, inspired by the logo and the way in which a peregrine falcon hunts it’s prey. Black helmet/red jersey/white pants remains the primary home uniform and I have included an alternate pair of black pants and a black jersey, to change things up from time to time. As always, I’m happy to hear everybody’s C&C. Thanks for having a look.
  13. First of all, I’ve got a third color scheme for the Bucs concept. The Creamsicle and red returns and to be honest, I’m not crazy about it. I think it’s a pretty dated color scheme that looked great in the 70’s and 80’s but I’m not sure it translates so well to today. Anyway, a few people were asking to see it so here it is: Thanks for having a look and feel free to let me know what you think. I’ve been messing around with the rest of the teams who have either been confirmed or rumored to be updating logos/uniforms for the 2020 season, so I’ll be posting those here too as I finish them up. Thanks again for taking the time to have a look.
  14. Thanks for the feedback guys. I’ve kind of soured on the red/creamsicle combo along with pewter. It’s difficult to get the balance right. The Buccaneers got it right the first time, so I don’t want to just rehash an old idea. I mentioned it over in the Bucs uniform change thread, so I thought I’d put a concept together here using red/pewter/silver/white. I also updated the logo for this concept to include a flag. I think it’s a sharp look, but maybe veers too close to Falcons territory, IDK. Anyway, thanks for having a look and please let me know what you think.
  15. I can’t say I disagree with you there, I just wanted to try something different than what I’ve done before and what I’ve seen other concepts do, which is basically trying to update the original pewter uniforms.
  16. The news of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers updating their absolutely terrible uniforms has gotten my creative juices flowing to create something new for the 2020 season. The Bucs have had two great color schemes in their history. Both the creamsicle/red and the pewter/red/orange color schemes were truly inspired and the original Jolly Roger logo is damn near perfect. There is a rich visual history to draw inspiration from for a new uniform and logo package. With the relative futility of the franchise for the last 20 years in the pewter and red, I thought it was time to move on to a third era of color for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The new color scheme features their trademark pewter, but the color has been tweaked to be less brown and more gray. It is paired with the current shade of creamsicle orange and a color I’m calling Bone White, an ever so slightly creamy white (I know @BucsBoy02 has a great concept here too that uses cream, but I swear the idea came up independently, not trying to piggyback on his ideas). The new logo takes a lot of inspiration from the skull and crossed-swords of the original Jolly Roger flag. I made some tweaks of my own to freshen it up a bit, but that logo is great, IMO and it doesn’t need a ton of work. The biggest change I made was removing the flag all together. I think the Skull and Crossed-Bones is great on its own as a primary logo. I also designed a custom word mark and numeral font with some design cues taken from a classic pirate cutlass. The uniforms are pretty straightforward. Orange and white never touch and the pants and sleeves feature a striping motif based on the swords from the logo. I wanted to keep the uniforms simple to let the bold colors speak for themselves without being interrupted by intricate striping patterns. It is difficult to communicate in a flat presentations such as this, but the helmet is intended to have a high gloss metallic finish. I also included both grey and orange socks to avoid the dreaded yoga pants situation where the pants match the top of the socks. Thanks for taking the time to have a logo and I’m looking forward to any and all feedback on the logo, colors and uniforms.
  17. Seattle seriously needs navy blue helmets. The white helmets look fine with the white jersey and pants but I think navy pants and helmets would make for a really sharp uniform (side panels nonwithstanding), and the blue jersey desperately needs a navy helmet if they are gonna wear it with navy pants.
  18. I was really pulling for the Titans to pull off the upset, but to be honest, I was relieved that the Chiefs won so the Titans crappy uniforms wouldn’t be immortalized by a Super Bowl appearance.
  19. SIU’s new logo is really nice. It was definitely long overdue. It also actually looks like a dog now so people who aren’t familiar with what a Saluki is don’t have to guess when they see the logo. Also, it does look good on the helmets, and on a semi-unrelated note to the actual logo, I’m so tired of that “metallic satin” finish or whatever it’s called on helmets. The colors never look right and its so over-used, it’s boring. I’m over trendy helmet finishes. You can never go wrong with a high gloss or metallic gloss finish—End of short rant.
  20. I think that would make a sharp look for the Patriots, but I’m not quite sure about silver helmets for the Texans. Objectively, I like it but just not for Houston.
  21. I really like what you did with the bengals. The only thing might do is change the numbers on the white jersey to black. If you’re married to the orange numbers, an outline would work, but I think single color numbers work better here (and most of the time, for that matter). As for the Titans, I like the idea, I love the powder blue helmet, and I really dig the red numbers on the white jersey. I’m not really liking the way the old school striping clashes against the more contemporary logo though, maybe something simpler like a double stripe or a brashier stripe would work better? Just my two pennies.
  22. I think you could lose the yellow trim on the numbers. The Vikings are a team where single color numbers work really well By playing off of the horn where white and yellow don’t touch. I guess my critique would be that white and yellow shouldn’t be touching, especially on this Vikings concept that has lots of thin lines.
  23. Pretty much perfect. It's all the bengals should do and 1000 times yes to the orange socks and only orange socks. They can't be trusted to wear the correct socks/pants combo if they have more than one option.
  24. I couldn't agree more. For the longest time, I knew something was different with the Nike change, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Finally I noticed that the stripes were off and it has driven me nuts ever since.
