  1. This food rebrand crap is getting really old in 2018....can the fad die soon?
  2. Is ESPN+ the same as the WatchESPN app?
  3. In regards to the autoposts beings created for news stories on the mothership, can we create a subforum in that forum to catch all of the news stories? Unless its breaking news, theres likely already a thread on the boards for the subject and this would avoid duplication (ie. The Titans blue helmet story)
  4. I'd like that...would be nice to have a Lightning affiliate in Orlando since TB doesnt have an affiliate this season.
  5. True but most little league teams nowadays arent creating their own names, around here its either the Major league club names or wacky minor league names.
  6. In a perfect world, a identifiable letter should be the cap logo, or at least be an alternate, but you have to keep in mind that minor league primary caps with generic logos are becoming the norm. This is because little league teams can adopt these monikers and buy the licensed merchandise which makes money for the individual teams. I know a bunch of local leagues in Florida do this and personally I think its a great idea. If you're team is the Cardinals, Yankees, or Braves and your little league is in Nebraska for example, having to wear a cap with an STL, NY, or A doesnt really represent your team name. But if you have a league made of AquaSox, Storm, Grasshoppers, or Seawolves you can wear a cap representing your team name as it has a representing logo.
  7. I thought the same thing. I get that it's a T for Tampa, but its more abstract than the T-tail logo on the white panel cap.
  8. Last week it sounded like it was a farce... https://ballparkdigest.com/2017/12/22/not-new-for-2018-cards-against-humanity-baseball-place/
  9. No...it would be YES Network. Even now with it owned by Fox Sports, you'll rarely see Fox branding
  10. I doubt the YES Network name changes...that brand has good value. Boston and Philly have their own regional networks (NESN and CSN Philly) that arent affiliated with the current Fox Sports umbrella...
  11. Well technically dont the Nets own both venues? I thought the Nets renovated the Colseum
  12. Cant accept tickets as gifts? Is that something to do with it being the national capital?
  13. I never thought i'd see the day that the Tampa Yankees would change their name. I like it, and it helps the name has history in the area but went dormant for 30 years.
  14. Also, below is the rules from the NFL http://www.nfl.com/flexible-schedules So in other words, you likely wont see many flexes between weeks 5-10 since you can only flip two times, and you dont want to chance it one week when down the road you might have a few intriguing games. Also found at this link: http://www.ocregister.com/2017/11/14/source-nbc-passes-on-rams-vs-saints-at-coliseum-for-week-12-sunday-night-game/
  15. CBS and Fox get rights to protect some games, so NBC gets the option to flex after CBS and Fox choose their options. Its not as easy as letting NBC get first dibs (although that might not be a terrible idea for the later portion of the season. I typically follow http://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/predicting-nfl-flex-schedule-rest-2017-season.html to see what they think might happen.
  16. So I have a question for everyone to ponder. With Annapolis and South Bend hosting outdoor games in the near future, what non NHL city locations would you like to see host an outdoor game? Might as well add places that you'd like to see host PERIOD. My thoughts: - West Point: Since Navy has one in 2018, hosting one at West Point could work well. Could be the Islanders or Devils hosting, maybe even Philly. - Tropicana Field: Being a former home of the Lightning, a Stadium Series game in the old stomping grounds against the Flyers would bring back the nostalgia. It's not the sexy venue, but it like playing in the old barn. - Ohio Stadium: With Columbus on the rise, a Winter Classic or Stadium Series at tOSU would be interesting. Pair them up with the Red Wings and play up the Michigan/Ohio State rivalry and you should have success.
  17. My thought is that they're doing on in Philly because the first one that ended up in Pittsburgh was intended to be a neutral site in State College. I guess this give them a home and home series to be fair.
  18. Hmmmmm, can international schools be in the NCAA?
  19. I prefer this Panthers set as a primary rather than an alternate uniform. In a division with so much black (Saints, Falcons, Panthers) the electric blue really breaks it up.
  20. There what is? I'm not really one of those confrontational people on here but I'm confused as to what you mean.
  21. I have to side with @raysox that the first true generation of Rays fans is in the age range of 30-35. I for one am 32, and was 13 when the Rays began play. Been a fan ever since the beginning, but when the core group of Rays fans is in their early thirties, theyre just beginning families which will continue to grow. The Lightning are 5 years older than the Rays and are just now beginning to hit their strides.
