  1. Going by past history of the kickoff game, they don't seem to schedule divisional matchups (outside of 2019 when Packers-Bears was the kickoff game in honor of the NFL 100 season, and didn't feature the Super Bowl champ). Chiefs also played Houston in 2020 to kickoff the season. For those reasons, I wouldn't count on Texans or Chargers.
  2. The arena has been there in KC for what, 15 years now and no permanent tenant? KC probably needs ownership interest first, since we saw Vegas and Seattle added thru expansion.
  3. Rowdies are teasing hoops. New unis incoming
  4. A nice nod for the three cups representing the colors of the jersey won in the Cup clinching game (04 black, 20 white, 21 blue)
  5. You were saying the Rays we're not getting a City jersey?
  6. The Mets BP hat shown earlier might even be a 5th option, because this one looks more like the "dad hat" adjustable.
  7. It was because the classic Orange Bowl stadium used to be there and it was available when the Marlins were looking. City of Miami gave the Marlins a "good deal". It's not perfect, but eh.
  8. I bet if you counted from coin toss to final whistle she was on the screen for maybe no more than 2 minutes total. Did you complain when Jay Z, Martha Stewart, Lebron, and others were on the screen too?
  9. Maybe City Connect? Maybe representing the team reporting to camp this week? Too vague for anything specific.
  10. I honestly wouldn't expect to see this third jersey more than this year. If rumors are true, because of the Fanatics changeover next season, jerseys will be limited to just home and road (much like the Reebok changeover of 2007).
  11. Lightning tease that leaked third jersey for next week. Per the link below, sounds like it will be worn for the 15th, 17th, and 19th. http://tbl.co/third--jersey
  12. Huntsville was already an interesting structure to begin with, as pre-renovation it was already used for football too. The bones for soccer were there, they just closed in the outfield with new seats.
  13. Portland did a good job converting baseball to soccer.
  14. Its protocol in every World Cup to temporarily rename the stadiums as FIFA controls specific sponsors. It dates as far back as the 2006 event in Germany from what I can tell.
  15. That's a possibility, but it could be dictated in the contracts that if events are hosted at the stadium that require the standard name to be replaced for generic names there is no fiscal responsibility by either side.
  16. End zone designation is not based on the home stadiums conference. Going by the Gridiron Uniform Database, it seems pretty haphazard since the beginning. GUD Super Bowl Page
  17. The Mothership with an exclusive look at the MLB Spring Traing hats. Exclusive: New MLB 2024 Spring Training Caps by New Era Released Article says that these are spring specific only and "we will see an entirely separate collection of new regular season B.P. cap designs for the 2024 season in the coming weeks"
  18. MLB Clubhouse Collection hats have been released MLB Clubhouse Collection
  19. Not saying its feasible, and the Royals might be the ones who would have to sign off on it, but Omaha has Charles Schwab Field which seats 24k. Not ideal, but could be a quick stopgap too.
  20. Also, the arena in downtown Atlanta has been heavily renovated by the Hawks for basketball only, and two arenas in one downtown makes no sense.
  21. We've seen between a third and half of these City Connect jerseys and everyone seems to think the concept is going to change? Like them or not, they're here to stay for the time being.
  22. Early February is usually when we've seen the spring training collections release in the past.
