  1. Seeing the uniforms in action, I really like the simplicity of the Defenders. They could pass for the NFL. The Dragons are probably my least favorite look. I don't like the color distribution and the logo looks like the head was sliced off.
  2. I'm not sure why I originally came up with Dolphins Dynasty. I've never considered their back-to-back titles in the 70's as a dynasty. Maybe it was in hope of them winning multiple titles in the foreseeable future? Lol. Either way, I'll probably change it... when I think of something better.
  3. Gotta give it to them... They were able to restrain themselves from giving the skunk a menacing grin.
  4. And to think we could've had one-less dark blue flag with a seal.
  5. Outside of D.C. and New York, I'm not too big on the rest of these. The templates suck; I though we grew out of the piping/panel era?
  6. The name is dumb, but that's just Brandiose's thing. I completely expect it every time I hear they are responsible for the designing process of a new identity. I don't hate the logos, but there's too many and some are a little too detailed, which was already brought up. But at least they say Montana... Right? What? You don't like the anthropomorphic animal with the grinning teeth and menacing stare all the time?
  7. I did too, but that look needed a cleanup at the very least. Oh well, bring on the silly.
  8. The Guardians is actually pretty cool. I was surprised to learn that no team has ever taken New York's gothic architecture as a foundation for a sports identity. I'm actually disappointed in Dallas. They couldn't have used anything besides another cowboy/western theme? Is that all that city is known for?
  9. I hope that's not actually the name. Firebirds is already in the Ontario Hockey League, but it's also just kinda meh.
  10. Yeah I saw it used in the Brewers Team Store too; I forgot to mention that one. But wow, that's pretty awesome that it's being used in a bunch of capacities... talk about city pride! It should give them more of a reason to make it official.
  11. When I was in the Milwaukee area last year, I went shopping at a Pick 'N Save and came upon this... The brewing company is using the city flag for one of their beers. Thought it was a cool find.
  12. On-field success doesn't apply to New York and Boston; their fans both hate each other regardless.
  13. While I don't like it's placement on the jersey, I do like the NFL 100 logo on its own. I don't love the 3-D effect of it, but all of the NFL's anniversary logos have design styles and elements that are from the time they were made (50th in the 1960's simplicity, 75th in the 1990's purple and teal). That's the route these logos have been going and I think this one is the best yet. FWIW, the flat version of NFL 100 logo is superior IMO. I think it would be easier to use in all applications.
  14. While it would be neat to see the O's and Nats in the same division, I don't want both teams in the Baltimore/Washington area being New York or Boston's bitch for most of the time. Also, I do like the idea of teams in the same city being in separate leagues (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles). It would be sweet if they where both in the World Series against each other like in 2000.
  15. The Mariner itself is a little hard to distinguish; He blends in too much. They could've made the hat entirely red to help locate him.
  16. Unless there is a legit explanation, that looks pretty petty on the Eagles' behalf.
  17. I don't hate the idea of the gradient, but I can't not think of the tops being 'grass-stained'.
  18. "Hey! Look at us! We had a blue facemask that looked fine, but now we've made it grey again because that's what we wore in the 1950's. We're so vintage! And old! Look at us!"
  19. So, why did they add aqua? Is that a school color I didn't know about or is it just random?
  20. I sure can't wait for another adjective-noun name, with a logo that consists of an anthropomorphic object, grinding it's teeth with it's circular eyes close together.
  21. I wasn't around when Pittsburgh used brighter colors so this feels a little weird to me. Still, this was the right move. The number font looks tremendously better than before, and that secondary logo is solid. I still wish they would tweak the primary logo a bit; I don't like how unbalanced it feels... Is it suppose to look like someone wrote it with a paintbrush? Plus, the i not having a dot bothers me.
