  1. Laker fan mentality: Thinking that everything will be okay because they'll totally get whoever they want in the next few years.... Because everyone wants to be in LA, right?
  2. I was actually a little surprised he said all of that. Usually the top brass tend to be quiet or blow smoke, but to actually call out the fans? Not a good look IMO.
  3. How is the brown gonna look when they make it for neon signs?
  4. I'm guessing it will say "Space City."
  5. We are constantly hearing about things when it comes to Snyder, but he's still in the owner's box. I can't really just assume that he will be gone based on that, because it's something that many people have been assuming for a while. I'm aware it takes time to do investigations, but he's been able to avoid being axed for a decade. This guy might actually be able to get away with murder.
  6. I remember when the Rams became the most forgettable team in the league after the GSOT era in St. Louis. Moving to Los Angeles, they immediately gain fame... and now mirror their local baseball team.
  7. The Nats were close to making this work, but the WSH abbreviation just throws it off. Still, it's one of the better City Connect uniforms I've seen. I might get a hat.
  8. The Orioles are the Pirates of the AL. I believe they care more about promotions and fan events (which tbf are nice to have), but consider building a roster to be secondary. They do have some good pieces in their farm system right now with Bowie, but who's to say they will be long-time Orioles? I can imagine being an O's fan is rough, especially when your team is in a division with two markets that tend to dominate in payroll. Then again, there are the Rays who are able to put talent on the field regularly... and I think they have less to work with (I don't know completely though).
  9. A good translation for the Browns would be: We don't care about how the women feel, we just want a star quarterback that can get us a boost in revenue, viewership, and the chance at a title. Did we mention money as well?
  10. The Dolphins have had a history of underused WR's that played better on other teams (Welker and Marshall come to mind). Of course Hill is a Top 5 receiver right now, but he is only going to do so much with Tua, who can barely even throw down the field. It's a lot of draft picks (and money), but I'll stick with the fan mentality and just be glad we have another good player.
  11. ^ I would add the Spurs and Bulls to the NBA, maybe Heat but I'd be more comfortable saying that if they still stayed put for another 5-10 years. I think the fact that MLB has so many clubs who may never change, is a good thing for the brand of the league. I understand a majority of the league has been around for a century and have seen tweaks on numerous occasions, but many of them have been very consistent.
  12. We don't have a sadface emoji for the reaction here, so I'll give you the thumbs up... and a sadface.
  13. I didn't think about that. It's one of those instances where you post without thinking. Don't know what else to say. I guess I'm just trying to look at the situation positively, but not rationally, because I too dislike ads.
  14. So with MLB brining in the ads, when is the NFL coming next? I think if their small enough and in team colors, it could be potentially salvageable. But I can just imagine a franchise winning their first ever Super Bowl, and all you see on their jerseys in memorabilia and photos is the GoDaddy.com logo on them.
  15. I forgot to mention... The only teams Wilson has never beaten are the Seahawks (of course) and the Chargers. That could change next season and put him in a legendary group of QBs (Favre, Manning, Brees, Brady) to accomplish this feat.
  16. From what I remember, they often just traded down out of the first round. When they did keep their pick, it was on guys that weren't really 1st round caliber. An example would be when they drafted Rashaad Penny... they had two other RBs that were playing the season beforehand relatively well (it was Thomas Rawls and Chris Carson, right?) and I just thought to myself, "What the hell?"
  17. Black and silver are relatively neutral colors, even if they somehow match the Kings. The old black and orange weren't neutral and you could argue they matched the Flyers but whatever. This package is overall fine, though the realistic cup logo feels a little out of place.
  18. How long did he really expect to be there...? To make custom Chicago Bears decor?
  19. I would argue the Lions do need to change. Their hard-to-see silver numbers on their Honolulu blues are... well, hard to see. The odd addition of dark grey being in there as outlines would be significantly better as white. They got rid of black from the previous set only to include another unnecessary addition, grey. I won't even mention the alternates because they shouldn't even exist. Honorable mention: the William Clay Ford patch. I find it funny that they're copying their division rivals, but with an owner who is much more insignificant and hardly ever accomplished anything.
  20. Utah could potentially be the black and gold team of the NBA, but that bright yellow is gonna be hard on the eyes. I guess I just need to see the full package, whenever that'll be.
  21. But then we won't keep getting Andy's annual comments about cheeseburgers, BBQ pork, and chocolate cake... because we need to apparently be reminded that he's fat.
  22. Good guy Steelers trying to be the good guys, even though everyone still hates them.
  23. It's not like Mike Brown is that much better but whatever. LA gets three titles in two seasons. I'm not gonna bash the fans there for having great sports teams and weather, but maybe they can invest their time more into the Rams (or at least fill their stadium over 50% capacity). EDIT: Okay that was kind of a bash, but I did my best.
