  1. I don't see the B1G taking both Arizona schools, U of Arizona fits the B1G mold academic wise.
  2. If you meant conservative(note the small c) that segment of both the NHL and NBA ticket buyers has been aging out since well before the pandemic.
  3. The NHL had to expand into "non-traditional" markets due to population decline in "traditional" markets, plus the owners wanted the expansion fee money, "copying" the NBA wasn't the reason.
  4. Why would the NHL rig the Crosby lottery for the Penguins? The Rangers also had three balls in the pot and the Kings, Blackhawks and Ducks each had two, if they were going to rig it one of the big market teams would have won.
  5. Three Rivers had 3M's Tartan Turf from 1970 to 1982, they switched to AstroTurf in 1983 and then got a newer version of AstroTurf in 1992 or 1993. Could the timing of when AstroTurf was installed at Three Rivers cause that field to have a different chemical make-up compared to the Vet or Kaufman Stadium?
  6. Mahomes didn't embellish anything, Oassai not only pushed Mahomes in the back, his foot in stride hit the bottom of Mahomes foot which sent Mahomes down. That penalty is going to be called 100% of the time at all levels of football, there's no grand conspiracy its just the Bungles being the Bungles.
  7. That Dolphins field is way too busy, no need for the NFL Playoffs logos when there's the Wild Card logos. Also, love that you added the baseball cutouts at the Vet and Metro Dome.
  8. I think only a handful of people in the Greater Pittsburgh Area even know there's a new Maulers, having a team with Pittsburgh in the name but playing in Canton isn't going to establish a fan base, it's just going to confuse people. I'm not sure if the USFL couldn't make a deal with Highmark Stadium or they thought it was too small, but if it was their choice to not play there they made a mistake. 5,000 fans in a unique stadium located in the city the team is named after makes more sense than playing in-front of 5,000 fans in a 25,000 seat stadium over 100 miles away, if they can even draw 5,000 fans in Canton.
  9. I doubt that the owners would want natural site Conference Championship Games, they like those deposits on two or three rounds of playoff tickets that can rolled into a deposit on season tickets if they get eliminated. Interest baby!
  10. Per Google maps its 7 hours 40 minutes from KC to Chicago and 8 hours 10 minutes from Buffalo to the Windy City, why not Solider Field! Both teams play outdoors so it's not like they'd force a dome team to play outside.
  11. The teams want that extra week to rest up players, have more time to game plan, deal with all of the logistics of playing in a Super Bowl and so on.
  12. They can't push the Super Bowl back a week and the teams want the extra week before the Super Bowl, they're in a real pickle.
  13. Is the Sun Bowl the front runner for best uniform match-up?
  14. The Sun Bowl field looks decent but missed out by not having UCLA in script.
  15. If the Big Ten adds Colorado and either of the Arizona schools they could still be contiguous!
  16. I'm actually surprised the Sugar Bowl isn't doing something similar to lock themselves into the 8:30PM slot on January 1st.
  17. The only INT that was purely Pickett's fault was the 2nd one, the first was all on the Claypool who tripped or was tripped, on the last one Johnson just stopped playing, he should have been at the pylon or cut to the middle of the field. Both Pickett and Trubisky have been hampered by the Steelers WR's and TE's dropping passes, running the wrong route and so on. McDaniel isn't a good coach, I'm baffled by everyone acting like he's something special.
  18. I really dig the Warriors ring, looks like something Elvis or Sammy Davis Jr. wore back in the 70's,
  19. He also damn near killed Pitt football during his three seasons as head coach.
  20. As a Pitt fan the build up this week and the game last night were amazing! The schools need to lock the game into the Thursday before Labor Day slot long term, the next three years they'll play the second or third week of the season.
  21. Along with moving the Pirates to the NL East and Atlanta to the NL Central.
  22. Not a bad logo, but I'm a sucker for the Fiesta Bowl sun logo and font.
  23. Rolling Rock hasn't been brewed in Western PA since 2006, most people in the region stopped buying it after InBev/Anheuser-Busch stopped production in Latrobe and put a lot of people out of work. Iron City doesn't have the money for any kind of naming rights. The naming rights for PNC Park and Heinz Field were both originally up at the same time, I was surprised that PNC move their name to the football stadium, the company has grown massively since they purchased the baseball stadium rights in 1998.
