  1. Not even. Throw the effectively unused alternate logo on there and it's one of the best jerseys in league history.
  2. I can't find any images of it, but the Coyotes and Islanders faced off during the Yotes' inaugural season, and the Isles' only season with the fisherman jerseys.
  3. Found this jersey on Mia Tyler's Instagram. No idea who she is, but she had this picture of an obviously unreleased Isles jersey. The NHL crest and logo stitching look too good to be fake, and I haven't found that jersey on any of the usual fake jersey websites. Maybe an alternate/RR for next year that just got leaked by an influencer a bit too soon?
  4. Anybody know how to create arched text with a straight top in Photoshop? Example attached:
  5. I don't get why teams use their alternates in the playoffs. You're gonna get national attention, hundreds of thousands of more eyes on your team, and potentially a Stanley Cup. Why would you opt for a tertiary, often experimental design instead of the primary jersey your team is associated with?
  6. I think one of the weirder things that nobody's talked about yet is the fact that Icethetics has reported that the Islanders will be getting a new logo next year. I can't imagine that either Lou Lamoriello or the Isles fanbase at large is going to let them put out a whole new identity, so I imagine it'll just be a touch of gold to their current logo. Here are a few quick and dirty mockups I made of what I think is possible. All that being said, the Isles are known for their awful logo/jersey changes, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  7. I don't hate the Bridgeport Islanders' identity, but I do agree that it's a downgrade. It would've been suitable if the team had moved to an actual island, but since they're still in Connecticut, it's just unnecessary. Is it clean and polished? Sure. Is it bad? Not really. Is it good? Also not really.
  8. ... So just this jersey with their modern logo?
  9. Palmieri and Zajac just look weird not wearing red and black.
  10. I was scrolling through Instagram a couple weeks ago and stumbled onto an account reselling vintage Grateful Dead t-shirts. Turns out that somebody bootlegged an old Grateful Dead hockey jersey concept I made years ago, added some text to my design, sold it, this Instagram account found it, and is now reselling it. I can't embed Instagram posts, so just click here. I know that bootlegging is a huge part of the Deadhead scene, and I say that as somebody who makes bootleg Dead merch myself, but it sucks seeing someone bootleg your bootleg.
  11. These are all really well done. The presentation, logos, and uniforms are all top-of-the-line. Will the project be mostly brand updates, like the teams so far, or will there be entire redesigns?
  12. He'll be in the review room in Toronto, deciding every call against the Predators.
  13. I entirely expected them to use something like the MGM Resorts logo
  14. Gonna revive this thread and post the Ducks' Reverse Retro jerseys. I hate that they have green socks for a white jersey.
  15. I'll go ahead and double post - while they're nothing new or exciting, the Isles' Reverse Retros are great on the ice. They should be the team's full-time look. This team looks better in navy. Them against the new Sabres away jerseys may be one of the best uniform matchups in quite some time.
  16. These helmets aren't bad on their own. If they were unveiled along with the team's normal identity a few years back, it would've been totally fine.
  17. On the ice, these look like practice jerseys. The Liberty logo deserves better.
  18. The Avs' new gear looks ok on the homes, but terrible on the roads. This just feels so off.
  19. Pretty solid stuff from the Eagles. They've worn a similar design before, as an alternate from 2008-2010.
  20. I know it's South Dakota, but having "The Mount Rushmore State" on your flag isn't doing your state any favors.
  21. I bet it's been posted already, but I can't imagine this logo will have much of anything positive associated with it.
  22. These jerseys aren't really that bad. The only reason they got so much hate is because they replaced (arguably) some of the best jerseys in NHL history.
