It was like Vandy was the one with the massive talent advantage, not the other way around. It's an embarrassing and inexcusable loss, no way around it. With that said, though, the people in the Florida fanbase who already want Napier to be shown the door are ridiculously overreacting. Kirby Smart also lost to Vanderbilt in his first season... and Georgia Tech, and was 2 points away from losing to Nicholls State. Nick Saban lost to Louisiana-Monroe in his first year. There are plenty of examples. I still have faith, we just need to have patience.

TCU and Michigan both hold on in the dying seconds and are still undefeated with one game to go! ...and those are the only notable results from the noon slate. Yep. That's it. Move along, now.

It's strange that they used the old Twins font for pretty much everything except the updated Twins wordmark. Overall I'd vastly prefer if the wordmarks and numbers had outlines but still fairly solid, especially the road. Also, completely unrelated to the actual uniforms, but I can't be the only one that this thread is freaking out with, right? Every page is duplicated, for a new one you have to go 2 ahead.

Call me crazy, but I actually really like this. The only thing it needs is white or gold socks.

I assume it'd be 8, as that'd be a majority to dissolve the GOR. That'd require the SEC and Big Ten both going to 20, something like SEC: Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Virginia Tech Big Ten: North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame (they're an ACC member in everything but football, so I assume their vote would count the same as anyone else's) But I have a hard time believing that the conferences will be interested in that many, especially Duke, UVA, and VT. Georgia Tech and NC State might be in the conversation for one or both conferences as well? I don't know, but either way I think they'll just have to wait it out until the deal expires naturally.

The ACC is locked into its current contract through 2035. I don't doubt that those two (and Miami, UNC, etc) are looking for a way to get out as soon as possible, but unless they find some not-yet-noticed loophole in the deal they'll have to wait until then.

Oh for ’s sake. They don’t elaborate at all how it “represents the city” or whatever, just saying it does, because it doesn’t. At all. Explaining it as the pattern on the castle like we thought earlier would’ve at least done that a little, but instead we’ve got some weird Holy Land Experience on the Millenia exit stuff. What is it with designers seemingly deciding out of nowhere that what really fits Orlando is a gothic theme, anyway? I guess because UCF’s the Knights? Both the Guardians and the Magic have leaned into it. Who knows. At least the orange and space themes made sense, even if they were still ugly. This one doesn’t. Edit: I like the court though. It’s about time they did something with the skyline like other teams have.

So it might not be as done of a deal as that show was reporting. The plot thickens! My somewhat out of the box pick is SMU. Good academics, fairly good overall programs, and it'd get them into CST and the Dallas-Fort Worth market. I think the networks would particularly like those last two points.

They'll (obviously) have to win the rest of their games, including a match with Georgia in Atlanta, and hope that there are no more than 3 teams with 0 or 1 losses. It's certainly possible, but no 2 loss team has ever made it so far, even when they had head to head over a 1 loss team (2016 11-2 Penn State vs 11-1 Ohio State). Especially with a blowout L to Tennessee, who will still be in the conversation as long as they win out, they'll need a good bit of help. Wouldn't be the first time 2 loss LSU somehow found themselves playing for the championship after pure unadulterated chaos happens around them, though. So, there's that.

I'm still a fan of navy overall, but as a 1-2 times a year option? Yeah, that looks great. Bravo, Houston.

I used to do that at Martinsville and New Hampshire on NASCAR 14, I can't believe it actually works in real life. My jaw was on the floor for a good hour after the finish. It's the fastest recorded lap ever at Martinsville, the previous record was Logano with an 18.898 during qualifying in 2014. He got an 18.845 there. Just incredible. Have you ever?

Going back to block is such a massive upgrade aside from that one detail. On TV it looks like they don't have an outline at all.

If we're proposing solutions to tanking for the first pick, I have an NBA specific one that I've been thinking about for a bit, based around the format the WCC uses for its basketball tournament: Basically, you have a "ladder" seeded 1-10 for the teams that don't make the play in (which becomes a permanent feature of the playoffs). The winner of each game advances to play the next seed on their ladder, ultimately resulting in a final game for the 1st pick. There'd also be a second game for the losers to decide who gets the tiebreaker (so, the losers of the second round on either side play for the 7th pick). What I like about this format compared to other proposals is the 1 seed can get at worst 4th, the same as currently. That still ensures that the truly bad teams can get a great player in the draft, but also creates competitive games for teams and fanbases that otherwise haven't sniffed one in years and disincentives intentionally making the team as bad as possible because you'll still need to win at least two games at the end. It's still not a fully baked idea, I'm sure there's some fundamental problem with it that I haven't thought of yet, but idk I like the idea of it being in the team's hands and not in the hands of some ping pong balls.

Unfortunately, this isn't the primary court. It was made specifically to match the new blue uniforms, with black pinstripes in the blue part of the paint and sublimated stars in the black. Either way though, it looked great.

All this talk about old themes is making me miss the old Fox Sports theme. Bally's isn't completely terrible, but man.
