  1. Maybe the Leafs can win the Cup now that the Bruins have been eliminated.
  2. Dean Blandino calling Arlington Dallas is one thing but the color commentator just called Houston DC. Wow And holy hell, I might actually be out $200. Renegades look great right now. Picture is the jersey I might wind up sending to @Ferdinand Cesarano
  3. Houston punches back against Dallas Arlington with a Cox rushing TD from a yard out. Renegades 14, Roughnecks 8 Aaaand then screws up the kickoff with the Renegades scoring another TD.
  4. And Perez throws a bomb to put the Renegades up 14-0. Not what I was expecting.
  5. Travis Kelce is just a one-in-a-million combination of size, speed, elusiveness to baffle any defense. Pretty sure every fanbase has screamed “Why won’t they cover him?” by now.
  6. 40th anniversary of one of the best manager tirades of all time.
  7. The Wildcat? I know it feels like the financial world is on the brink of collapse, but that doesn’t make it 2008. But seriously, the Chiefs have always been shredded by mobile quarterbacks. :censored:ing Johnny Manzel looked like a pro against them. It’s why I lowkey thought the Eagles were going to win the Super Bowl.
  8. Intelligence is getting into Stanford. Wisdom is knowing that no one wants to hear you brag about that crap and that if you’re going to beg them for welfare, maybe insulting them isn’t a good idea.
  9. Sorry for the double post, but if the Renegades do manage to win the XFL Championship, I’ll send you a Luis Perez jersey.
  10. Of course. As much as I hate this current format, I understand that this format is how it was set up and the players and coaches knew this going in and planned accordingly and had it been the format everyone besides Ferdie wants then they'd plan differently and we'd have a different season. That being said, it's still stupid because anyone with half a brain could see something like this coming. EDIT: And here are Week 10's TV ratings and I do emphasize TV because streaming isn't included. Would be interested to know what those numbers are. Looks like they finished with an average of 622,000 viewers.
  11. I’m more surprised that they didn’t play this at Philadelphia Union’s stadium. Feels like it would be more successful there.
  12. I think it would just be less complicated to just have the division winners face the two teams with the best records that didn’t win their division.
  13. Sucks the Battlehawks didn’t make it, but, they should’ve beat Seattle when they had the chance. Still, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the XFL’s play so far. I look forward to next week’s games. Particularly DC vs Seattle
  14. Considering that I don't think I've ever seen people talk about the Arizona Cardinals this much, changing the uniform is a good idea on paper. They really don't have a legacy as franchise age alone doesn't make a legacy. So, why not get a fresh coat of paint? It's easier than actually putting a good product on the field.
  15. To each his own. Again, he's really knowledgeable and that's always a plus, but he's too pompous for my tastes. Social graces don't hurt.
  16. I wish I had never heard of JaguarGator9. Smart guy but the man can’t help himself from talking down to his audience as if they’ve never heard of football or whatever sport he’s covering before.
  17. Things make a lot more sense if you think of head coaches like politicians. Makes sense why a promise from them is worth nothing.
  18. Pretty sure the Canadian dollar’s value against the US dollar was a reason too. But as far as I’m concerned, abandoning a solid source of revenue and money for something that might potentially make more money doesn’t sound like a strong business plan. I get why they did it, I still think it’s stupid.
  19. I think it's a lot simpler even if I agree that there's some of that subtext in what the NHL is doing: Gary Bettman was hired from the NBA. Gary Bettman wanted to make the NHL as big as the NBA. So he expanded into non-traditional markets like the NBA, experimented with ridiculous uniform trends like the NBA, had lockouts like the NBA and now wants to have engagement on social media like the NBA. Slow monkey see, slow monkey do three years later.
  20. Neko Sparks? Is this some kind of joke? Sounds like the NHL is about to get zapped to the extreme.
  21. To the surprise of no one, the XFL has its lowest ratings of the year going up against the NCAA Tournament
  22. Every other game through the end of the season besides Houston at DC (Monday night) in Week 6 and Seattle at Arlington (Friday night) in Week 7 is going to be on Saturday or Sunday so we should get a much better feel for the markets in question. It's football. If it's on, I watch it.
