With the USL Championship and USL Super League (the Women's League), is the USL dealing with delusions of grandeur? The USL diehards want the USL Championship to compete against the MLS and are upset that the USSF have sanctioned them as Division II. There's also some in the USL Championship who also believe that they should compete with the MLS. This isn't happening for two reasons: In order to compete with MLS, they have to go toe-to-toe with them for talent. It is unlikely that they have the finances to compete for Neymar should Neymar want to play in the US. USL Championship teams folding doesn't help their cause. Rio Grande Valley FC and San Diego Loyal folded. If they wanted to compete with MLS, at least consider relocation. As for USL Super League? Well....the best US player not in NWSL is Catarina Macario. If she wants to play in the US, does she go NWSL or USL Super League. If she goes USL Super League, it would be their biggest signing ever. If she goes to the NWSL, what chances does the Super League have? Also, two of the teams in the NWSL are owned by USL teams, so it will be interesting to see what happens with the North Carolina Courage and Racing Louisville.

Panther City Lacrosse is last in the NLL in attendance with an average of 2,637 people. The capacity at Dickie's Arena is about 14,000, so about 12,000 empty seats per home game for Panther City LC. They are owned by the same people who own the Dallas Wings of the WNBA, who have better attendance in a smaller arena.

Never thought I would see the day that Jared Goff would be one of the top two QBs in his division. He had a good 2022, but I didn't think that was sustainable, but he did even better in 2023 so he's due for a major extension. I never thought that Goff was a terrible QB ever, I just thought he was inconsistent. He would have a string of good games and then some really bad ones when he played for the Rams.

So Caleb Williams is going to play for a lame duck coach in Eberflus.....that's not going to end well for either of them.

The UFL will have to vet any prospective owners. Example, if they decide to sell the Michigan Panthers and there are two prospective ownership groups and one of them has a background in Crypto and the other group is a group of investors that includes Dan Gilbert and Tom Gores, take the Gilbert/Gores group. Not vetting owners is what is currently killing the indoor version of the game.

Where a team plays its home games won't matter if they are known as "Dallas." It doesn't have to be established DFW sports figures joining ownership to get the other teams to acknowledge the Dallas PVF team. It can be as simple as anybody from the Big 4 sports teams attending games. That would be all to get the major sports teams to acknowledge the Dallas PVF team.

I would hope that the incoming Dallas PVF team will be more like FC Dallas marketing wise than Panther City Lacrosse. Panther City Lacrosse has done a terrible job at marketing. Nobody knows that they exist, and if they won the NLL Championship, will the other local sports teams acknowledge it (like they did when the Rangers won the World Series) and will anyone show up to the parade? It seems unlikely. Panther City also gets zero local media coverage. Speculation is that they will be in another city in 2025. With FC Dallas, the local media knows they exist as do the other local sports teams. That's all Dallas PVF needs: the local media knows that they exist and acknowledgement from the other local sports teams. The moment that FC Dallas wins the MLS Cup (very unlikely), the Rangers, Mavericks, Stars and Cowboys will congratulate them.

Expecting FC Dallas to make it to the playoffs and exit early, per usual.
