  1. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bears-now-say-theyll-build-a-stadium-in-the-city-of-chicago-not-the-suburbs Back to within the city, with the team saying they'll spring for $2B
  2. I think you're missing a couple of zeroes. Nice touch for these boards
  3. The change from maroon to burgundy that happened under Lombardi was an actual change, not an artifact of lighting. I think you know that, though. I totally agree that leagues have gotten more consistent (or vigilant, not sure which is more correct) regarding color presentation.
  4. Thumbs up for your assessment, not for the color used or the color matching
  5. That 'new' logo above looks like the 2016 introduction of the 3-D printed logo I mentioned above. https://www.businessinsider.com/dodgers-new-batting-helmet-2016-4 ETA: https://uni-watch.com/2024/03/04/la-dodgers-make-changes-to-batting-helmet-logo/ Aha - here's a better explanation. It was re-designed to match the cap logo, and it is an embroidered logo rather than one of flexible material.
  6. I *think* it's more of a stitched style logo rather than a puffy sticker. More like cloth and less like foam. PS - You clearly weren't the only one who wasn't sure on the difference.
  7. Lakeshore Chinooks (Northwoods League - summer wood bat baseball) do exactly what you're trying to accomplish. https://northwoodsleague.com/lakeshore-chinooks/
  8. Fine. Bad weather exists. How about I put it this way -- if this were such a dire situation, why did so relatively few people develop frostbite? I'll guess it was because they didn't handle the weather properly.
  9. There's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. As @ManillaToad pointed out, there's some interesting use of headlines and numbers that don't mesh with what the article and past story indicate.
  10. I can't disagree more with your current self. And that's what makes these boards great - different opinions.
  11. Who had Mitch Trubisky as the first free agent QB to sign this offseason?
  12. Why? The both the yellow and white pants look great with the white jersey. I get that the Houston Oilers looked good like this, but it hasn't been the Chargers aesthetic.
  13. I'd be amazed if he took a spot this year where he is a clear backup. Next year, if this season doesn't work, I could see it happening, because he would need to re-establish himself as a potential starter.
  14. Ummm - not too sure about that I'm sorta hoping we've hit on that twice in a row now. I think he starts somewhere because his low salary for this year means money can be spent elsewhere to build a better team.
  15. its problematic around hear [sicx2]
  16. The Broncos owe him $39 million or whatever it is for this year. Anything he earns from his new team is deducted from that amount. He can sign for the veteran's minimum of just over $1 million with his new team, and Denver has to pay him the difference between his old contract and his new one. Watch for him to land in Las Vegas, Pittsburgh or Minnesota.
  17. Color me confused. You're the one working in pro sports? And you need to take your kid in diapers with you to work?
  18. Understood. But adding one more week of games and then adding more byes that are unlikely to be spread outside the current bye week period means fewer games in a given weekend. that might not even be allowed with the current broadcast contracts - I don't know.
  19. This sounds like a problem in search of a solution. How many players get traded? Way more get signed and released week to week. ETA - Gambling partners won't want a limit to the number of games played in a given week due to added byes. I don't see it happening.
  20. Does a kid in diapers need to attend a pro sporting event?
