  1. It's happened before ... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PedeDo00.htm
  2. Really? I thought they were the trendy pick.
  3. Thanks for the first, but the second seems to be arbitrary. It sound like someone trying to give themselves a nickname - you earn one. I'm not sure you have the authority to set the rules for what deserves to be included in a discussion of Big # sports leagues.
  4. From earlier in this thread: Kickoffs Kickoffs will look like more traditional college/NFL kickoffs but will take place from the 20-yard line of the kicking team. A kickoff out of bounds will give possession to the receiving team 30 yards from the spot of the kickoff or at the spot where the ball went out of bounds. A kickoff that is untouched by the receiving team may only be recovered by the kicking team up to 20 yards from the spot of the kick.
  5. Just because the OP lists MLS doesn't make it so, either. College football and college basketball are FAR more 'Big #' than MLS.
  6. We don't all know that there is a Big 5. We disagree with that statement out of hand.
  7. Doesn't it have to so that it's a team color and they can then make the black alt?
  8. I didn't see any houses where the back yard ended at the parking lot of the stadium when I went to Orchard Park.
  9. Except you know it's there before you move there. You choose to live there, so it is desirable.
  10. Hey look - these two brothers both played pro sports.
  11. Understood - and yet that's what we do for the City Connect unis. If it makes sense locally, outside commentary isn't worthwhile.
  12. It's the same as it ever was. There's no news, so people post ideas/concepts/wish lists until something breaks.
  13. Thanks - it's outside of my norm, so I didn't know that. Presumably then it is written into a contract like that.
  14. If I'm AT&T, for example, I'm not sure I sign that contract with that provision.
  15. I wonder how the naming rights holders feel about this? Is there anything in their contracts that will require a 'make good' by each of the stadium owners?
  16. What part of this process makes you 'cautiously optimistic'?
  17. If this were pitched in the Arena Football thread, we'd all say 'yep, that sounds totally like Arena Football to pull something like this.
  18. If there are one, or in this case two, places ready for an MLB franchise, the A's could just go there and we could avoid all of these gymnastics. You're creating problems in search of a solution.
  19. Do you watch baseball? Does pitch framing mean anything to you? How about soccer, where players fall to the ground as though shot by someone in the stands? Basketball and its complaining about not having touched that player who got fouled.
