  1. I feel for a team named Shockwaves there should be something jagged in the logo.
  2. FIFA's planning an expanded Club World Cup in the summer of 2021 as a way to make up for money lost by not having the Confederations Cup. While that shouldn't truly affect Qatar, the only way they don't have the World Cup there is the Saudis and Egyptians level it, which won't happen because they still get a split of their oil money.
  3. I think the biggest issue was finding a willing partner to help them with 48 teams. They've been at odds with their neighbors for a multitude of issues not related to soccer. I still can't see where all of the current 32 teams will fit as it is right now, let alone around 1-2 million fans.
  4. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48373886 FIFA makes a somewhat sensible, but not the correct decision. They have decided not to increase the amount of teams for Qatar to 48. * - The correct decision is to still move it from Qatar, but FIFA's married to that albatross now.
  5. I think if they were to kill off the league, Massachusetts and New York would be better off trying to move into the AFL and the others join up with the AAL.
  6. I guess the bigger question is who paid to use the Generals design that was used at the Spring League. If the XFL did, that's probably proof they're wanting to use that nostalgia to bring in older fans while hoping the play on the field brings in the football junkies who need a football fix every week.
  7. I'd say it works on the same level of full field semi-pro football. With smaller teams you can travel farther so your region can expand farther than in semi-pro. It also allows you to pay the players something, and that almost never happens in semi-pro. I'm still trying to figure out how a team that plays in Austin and shares a field with another team in the league can call itself San Antonio?
  8. Walsh still plays there but they aren't dealing with the initial costs of building lacrosse teams or a multi-use facility. That's the bigger cost in the end. Sadly, they may finally get a guy to play in the NFL and his school no longer offers football.
  9. I wonder if that was part of the $2.5 million Malone saved by killing off football. If they had to rent the stadium AND locker rooms it would add up over time. That and a team that hadn't won at least 4 games in over a decade, and building a sports complex for lacrosse, soccer, softball and baseball made it an easy decision.
  10. https://foxsanantonio.com/sports/gallery/calling-all-baseball-and-star-wars-fans#photo-2 May 4th is Star Wars Night for the Missions who will cosplay as BB-8.
  11. It also has a bit of Minecraft built in as well since people can build mazes and obstacles to share with other people. The kids in my daughter's classes are more into practicing the dances at times as well.
  12. Those look horrible. The patches on the front are too big and take away from the rest of the look.
  13. Needs white in the sleeve stripes of the brown jersey and the middle stripe of the brown pants.
  14. San Antonio has changed their Chanclas jerseys from white with blue sleeves to blue with pink sleeves. They also have home, away and alternate Chanclas caps this year.
  15. When Southern Miss updated their eagle, Iowa sued to keep it off their helmets because it was similar to this. Southern Miss then updated their wordmark logos.
  16. They left a few months ago. Their fan page on Facebook changed as well since Paul went to a pay wall.
  17. If this happened, all the Commanders fans would follow. I still want to see who outfits the XFL. If it's adidas they need to make sure they get the A1 template. Maybe Russell tries again since they're getting back in the game? It seems weird to brand one team only, and the excuse of crediting it to Futures Command moving in is just crap! I think it's just a hint that the XFL has possibly bought the FXFL logos and identities and intend to use them over names like Clash, Xcitement and Bolts.
  18. So did I miss something? I wasn't aware players were already assigned. Pretty sure it was some guy talking out his backside though.
  19. With the entirety of the FA Cup so far not on regular TV, I'm glad they didn't get it. They'd have the same setup as Bleacher Report/TNT and charge even more.
  20. Anyone else enjoying Chauncey Billups giving Pierce so much crap for complaining about the Celtics original plan to give IT a tribute video on Paul Pierce night? Pierce finally cracked after saying he wasn't involved with it.
  21. I'm good with it being a few games a year. Missions is still the better way to go.
