  1. Not lost. Being discussed here.
  2. I'm really not sure why they even went with charcoal over silver. The only justification for charcoal would be if they dropped silver and darkened everything to the charcoal color - which would probably be awful (though the thought of charcoal wings and pants is intriguing to me, though it would probably suck.) There's no need for both - just go with silver.
  3. This post is objectively wrong. I love the ghost runner - and I'm one of the older and more traditionalist members of the forum.
  4. Eagles likely to have two new coordinators next season. QB coach Brian Johnson is expected to be promoted to OC - no clue what the plan is on defense. Jonathan Gannon is possibly going to be named Cardinals HC later today (though the Bengals DC is in the running too.) Siriani gave up playcalling to Steichen last year so he could focus on being more of a "ceo" type coach, and for the most part, the scheming and playcalling improved dramatically. No idea how Steichen will do as a HC - I'm not sure how anyone can predict how a coordinator will do once charged with running the whole show.
  5. I was reading that the Linc was resodded with the exact same grass before the NFCCG, and the Phila Union play on the exact same grass too. Do you now what would cause "slick grass" on a surface that hasn't been rained on? I'm no groundskeeper so I have no idea.
  6. I've come around on the matte look. I used to think the shinier fabric looked better and more "green", but I like how the matte is more uniform, as opposed to the differences in the shoulder fabric and mesh of the old style. I think my initial hate of the matte was due to my lifetime of knowing what a football jersey is "supposed" to look like, and not accepting any challenges to that (fwiw, I grew up playing with the super-wide mesh-holed jerseys with heavy shoulders/sleeves,) The thing I dislike about the matte is that it prevents teams from having sleek silver or gold pants, unless they're willing to accept a clash in materials, which I thin wouldn't look good.
  7. IDK - players from both teams have stated it was the worst surface they played on all season due to the slickness of the paint. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they played on it.
  8. I prefer seeing the timeouts (times out?) on the bottom vs on the side of the old slanty-shaped one. The number of TOs remaining now looks more clear too. There were times with the old one where I had to stare for an extra second or so to make sure I was reading it correctly, as the used "boxes" didn't always appear very distinct from the "remaining" ones.
  9. Yeah they would have got their field goal, then who knows what would’ve happened. for all the macho “correct call!!” then why are so many non-partisan people… not just on this forum, but nationwide… saying it was crap? I wonder if Britt Reid was cheering on from prison.
  10. Saw it again a few times, and what an absolute crap flag to throw in any game, let alone the 4th q of a Super Bowl. Feel so bad for the players that will never know if they could have won the game or not. It’s not about being a sore loser, it’s about wanting to know that what you’re watching is on the level (and I’m simply suggesting that the officiating is terrible, not that there was a predetermined conspiracy afoot). I’m sure the parade in the Walmart parking lot will be cool.
  11. Credit to Andy Reid. They schemed around the Eagles pass rush and found ways to exploit mismatches that no other team could. Reid really did a great job, and obv Mahomes is great despite his acting jobs. My complaining about the officiating doesn’t take away from the fact that Reid brought it today.
  12. Sometimes a hold isn’t a hold. And sometimes they miss blatant helmet to helmet hits in the 1st quarter, but then call phantom ”hands to the face” when there’s no replay available that shows it. Again - Chiefs might have won fair and square - but we don’t know that, because someone didn’t want us to know that.
  13. I already admitted as much. Doesn’t change the fact that the Chiefs win is tainted. don’t take it personally - celebrate all you want - I would! But the chiefs absolutely got handed that one.
  14. If I’m a chiefs fan I’m defiantly ignoring it and celebrating it in a strip mall parking lot or whatever they do, but the reality is that’s a tainted win and the Chiefs should be ashamed.
  15. This is accurate. If the eagles had been prepared for referees handing it to KC they should have planned better.
  16. Nah, we’ll here from all the Andy Reid apologists and Mahomes fans about how great they are - and they are great - but they were handed a game. Anyone who defends NFL refereeing can [insert something here that would get me in a lot of trouble]. Jalen hurts proved himself tonight. So did the officials.
  17. What a total crap call. Chiefs would get a FG and Eagles have timeouts and clock. But the referees decided it was not to be. Who knows who would have won, but that’s a complete crap KC title.
  18. Anyone that thinks things aren’t fixed - is it just chance that all the reviews and close calls resulted in a game that went down to the wire and ended because of a complete phantom call? F the referees and F anyone that thinks they do a good job.
  19. Lol THAT’s defensive holding? Glad the referees didn’t try to become part of the game.
  20. Kinda strange, but Vic Fangio had signed a 2 week contract to consult with the eagles before SB even though he’s signed to the Dolphins now.
  21. So I was right... up until 2019 when the league did away with retirement papers. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/11/the-nfl-no-longer-uses-retirement-papers/ "Previously, a player filed retirement papers in order to initiate his pension. Barry Sanders, for example, didn’t file his retirement papers for years, but he was clearly retired. Currently, the player’s pension rights are activated once a full year has elapsed since his last NFL employment." But now, per your link: "The letter also is irrelevant to his eligibility for pension benefits or enshrinement in the Hall of Fame. For benefits, the only requirement is that the player has gone a full season without playing. For the Hall of Fame, he must go five straight years without playing. A retirement letter does not start either clock." That's really interesting - I wouldn't have expected that. Oh well - I'm clinging to the fact that I was right... until I wasn't.
  22. Stars fan with a bizarre bowl cut mullet gets clocked for using the n-word at a game. Posting link vs video due to profanities. Kinda fun to watch the dude get what was coming to him. Between Cowboys fans (mostly female!) beating themselves up so much over the past few years and now this, I think Dallas has taken the title from Phila for most fan-on-fan violence (though bay area may actually be #1 since people literally get stabbed and beaten to death at games.) https://www.crossingbroad.com/2023/02/bowl-cut-mullet-an-early-nominee-for-sports-fight-of-the-year.html
  23. Rather than a patch, the Yankees should work the advertiser's name into their pinstripes. (not really)
