In the 1985 ALCS, the Jays coughed up a 2-0 series lead (and then a 3-1 lead) to the Royals as they went on to win the World Series. I have hope.

And yeah, I'll second the notion of wanting the Jays to dress properly. The alts are nice, but come on.

I dunno, I think they're in the zone with the blues. I was thinking about who has the majority hand in that decision; if it's the players then let it roll.

Same with the Mets. If they meet, would MLB allow them both?

Let's freaking hope not.

Anyone else at all intreagued by the Mets blue alts vs the Jays red Canada day set? Game 2 or 3, of course. If they both absolutely INSIST on wearing alts simultaneously, that's just about the only good solution.

Should've pulled Dickey after the first.

Need to pull Dickey after the Rios homer.

When a knuckleballer doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. The Jays can score runs, but the longer today's Dickey is in there, the deeper the hole could get.

The Royals are amazing. They're not that talented on offense. They really aren't! Alex Gordon is probably their best hitter and his OPS is hovering around .800. They don't have sluggers or even super-high average guys, but they just can't be killed. They'll single you to death, then come up with a clutch homer. Even though they're the Sox' division rival, I don't hate them the way I hate the Twins and Tigers (and previously the Indians) due to them being irrelevant for so long. They are incredible to watch. Heck, they're even getting big production from Alex freaking Rios in the playoffs, and he's been more-or-less and anchor around the neck of every team he's been on. It's fun to watch a team that's much better than the sum of its parts.

That's exactly how I feel about the Royals, too. They just flat out play good team baseball and it comes together perfectly. They're really fun to watch. At risk of fanning the flames a bit, there's another team in the other league and on the opposite end of the state who wears red who play basically the same style of baseball, too. They have a bit more at their disposal when it comes to spending power, but it's a pretty similar model if you really think about it. Unfortunately there are a multitude of reasons and many factors as to why a certain group of people tend to overlook that.

Uh, Kendry Morales is a pretty good hitter.

It's interesting how the Royals have Cardinal-like qualities, yet so many people cheered when St. Louis went down in flames and you didn't see that many people wanting KC to go down.

It isn't interesting at all. You're just the most tone-deaf person who's ever contributed to this board.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
