Didn’t M&M/Hershey announce they wouldn’t be sponsoring the 18 car/Kyle Busch this year? They have been the lead sponsor here in Feb.

2022 is their last year sponsoring the 18 car. They won't be back next year.

Alex Bowman will be paying homage to Mark Martin's 1993 Darlington victory at this year's Darlington Throwback.

This one is confusing since Hendrick has valvoline as a sponsor for William Byron and Kyle Larson. I would have expected on of them to rock the paint scheme. Also the new number placement makes no sense with this scheme without moving the stripes forward to match the number placement.

I believe it was Bowman's request to honor Mark Martin. Since HMS has the Valvoline sponsorship, they were probably able to convince Ally to go-along with it.

As for the new number placement, it doesn't bother me so much with this scheme. It at least looks ok. Keselowski is also honoring Mark Martin by running his 2004 Darlington scheme and the number placement makes it look awful.

Keselowski and RFK also announced that he'll be rocking an all-white look for Talladega with Castrol as the sponsor.

It is funny to see Valvoline on the side of the car while Ally takes front and center. Ally had bought every race for the 48 so it's not like Valvoline would be the primary sponsor anyway and if Bowman specifically requested honoring Martin then this scheme makes sense. I personally would love to see a HendrickCars throwback for Larson.

In other throwback news, as previously mentioned Keselowski will run the Viagra throwback, his teammate Chris Beuscher will throw back to Matt Kenseth's DeWalt scheme (also sponsored by socios) and Bubba Wallace will run the Columbia 23, with a design inspired by Columbia's gear from the 90s.

Personally I like the Kenseth car and I love the Bowman car (2nd favorite driver with a Valvoline scheme which is always gorgeous), but the Bubba car falls flat for me. I don't like it that much when the car is a throwback to the sponsor and not another car, although there are certainly exceptions to that.

Alex Bowman will be running the Ally Better Together colors at Sonoma this weekend featuring the progress flag.

I personally was hoping for a little more but I'm beyond excited to see the rainbow colors on any car. If we can get multiple weekends of red white and blue then we can have a few cars running rainbow colors in June.

That car feels like a sponsor trying to toe a very fine line: putting the Pride colors on a car, but doing it in a race in northern California, but also doing it in a relatively small way to be less noticeable to the stereotypical "LGB" NASCAR fan.

Am I the only one who doesn’t know who “Static” is? Looking at the cartoon he looks like a mix between lex Luther and dr. Doom.

Introduced in the early 90s, he became popular due to the success of popular early 2000s animated series, Static Shock.

That’s the same guy? They look nothing alike, I honestly thought that was a bald white guy on bowman’s car.
