MJWalker45
https://theathletic.com/4291046/2023/03/09/wsl-premier-league-fixtures-2/ The WSL and EPL will not have their games played at the same time on decision day. The ladies will all play at 3 GMT on Saturday, and the men will play on Sunday at that time. Some of the women's fan groups asked for the move so they can see both teams from their clubs.

But they will be worked to death for sure. 1 Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com
MJWalker45
If United runs their tour like they did the last time they were in the States, I'd expect them to stay almost exclusively on the West Coast, and Arsenal on the East Coast. Wrexham should be interesting since they'll also have a team competing in TST, though that squad is more likely veterans and non-senior players.
MJWalker45
Thanks to Newcastle's win at home over Man United, it looks like we'll have a race to the end for those last two Champions League spots. Man City winning wouldn't grant the EPL an extra slot, but a Chelsea slot could. However, that still doesn't help the team finishing in fifth. Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool are all still technically in contention, but Liverpool could be all but officially out with a loss or draw at Chelsea tomorrow. Brighton has three games to make up, one against Manchester United, and Brentford has one game in hand. If Brighton were to win all three games in hand they would jump Man United on goal difference (+15 to +4 currently). Brentford plays every top 6 team, except for Arsenal, in the next 9 games. Newcastle only has Spurs at home remaining against current teams in the top 6 places. MJWalker45
https://www.espn.com/soccer/english-premier-league/story/4921723/chelseanewcastle-headline-premier-league-summer-tour-in-us "The Premier League will stage a six-team Summer Series across five Eastern cities in the United States in July, headlined by Chelsea and Newcastle United, the league announced on Tuesday. Having previously arranged a biennial Premier League Asia Trophy dating back to 2003, the Premier League will host a preseason tournament in the U.S. for the first time, July 22-30. Chelsea will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the opening Summer Series game at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on July 22, with Fulham facing Brentford and Newcastle taking on Aston Villa at the same venue the next day. Three games on July 26 will pit Brentford against Brighton in Atlanta, Fulham versus Villa in Orlando and Chelsea taking on Newcastle in the late game at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Brighton will play Newcastle at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, on July 28 before FedEx Field in Maryland hosts Villa against Brentford and Chelsea against Fulham on July 30". Arsenal and Manchester United won't be involved in this mini tournament. https://www.espn.com/soccer/spanish-laliga/story/4921522/atletico-madridsevilla-headline-laliga-north-american-tour La Liga is following suit: "LaLiga North America, the joint venture involving Spain's LaLiga and promoters Relevent Sports, announced that its summer tour will involve Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Sevilla. The tour will be comprised of four exhibition matches with Atletico Madrid taking on Real Sociedad on Aug. 2 in Monterrey, Mexico, while city rivals Betis and Sevilla will play in Guadalajara on the same day. The latter match could feature Mexico internationals Andres Guardado with Real Betis and Sevilla's "Tecatito" Corona. The tour will conclude three days later with a doubleheader at San Francisco's Oracle Park, with Atleti taking on Sevilla while Real Sociedad will play Real Betis. LaLiga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid will not be part of the tour. The two clubs currently have a tense relationship with LaLiga over their continued support of the proposed European Super League, as well as they fact that during the 2021-22 season two clubs earned more than a fifth of LaLiga's television revenue. Nonetheless, Gartner is keen to broaden the league's appeal. Atletico Madrid has challenged the duopoly between Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent years, winning La Liga as recently as 2020-21. "Not being naïve, the audience and the power that those two brands command is something that we have to play to our advantage," Gartner said. "But we've constantly been trying to tell stories around the rest of the teams that participate in the league just because we are at the end of the day promoting the competition." European clubs have drawn criticism in the past for touring the U.S. without their best players. Gartner said while there are no absolutes, the fact that this summer won't include a men's World Cup or European Championship will help ensure that the four LaLiga clubs will bring their top performers. "This is a very clean summer as we're calling it," Gartner said in reference to the international men's calendar. "And we are not only expecting that the teams will show up with the stars, but they've seen this as an opportunity for promotion like no other. "So it's going to be in our best interest to show up with the stars as well."

Digby
Arsenal can't even beat Southampton at home. Been rough to watch them totally bottle it. This Wednesday feels like a winner-take-all decider at this point.
