DG_ThenNowForever
This Heat/Bucks game. WOW. It's not a secret, but Jimmy Butler is an all-time playoff performer. JFC. He's the guy everything thinks Paul George is. 3 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
FiddySicks
Jimmy Butler might be one of my favorite players of all time. Dude is like a low key AI. What a monster. He's a Kawhi without being injured, PG without disappearing, and LeBron with worse supporting casts. If Kawhi's 3-pointer rims out, Jimmy definitely wins that title back in Philly. Butler will never be a regular season MVP, but you can't ever count him out in the playoffs. He's truly special. 4 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

I think you may be right. I keep wondering how things would’ve gone had he stayed with the Sixers. Even though it was a short period of time, it seems like Embiid may have learned quite a bit from him, and I’m always gonna be curious to know how that would’ve went long term. They have been among the class of the Eastern Conference for almost two decades and I give Riley a ton of credit for that. He really brought Miami that winning culture he had in LA with him. This feels daunting for the Bucks, even though they are a one seed. I think they are capable of coming out of this hole but given the history of being down 3-1 in the NBA, I doubt it. They might be done.

I think the Sixers ended up functionally choosing Simmons over Butler. Whoops. 1 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
Unocal
How do you explain Miami being mediocrity personified for 82 games, that ATL 8-9 debacle, barely beating the Bulls, and now THIS?

Unocal
I'm gonna flat out say it: I don't like Jimmy Butler. For a guy who's never won anything, he gets treated like a 4x champion 1
who do you think
32 minutes ago, Unocal said: I guess this is why Pat Riley refuses to ever rebuild. That, plus Miami is arguably the #1 free agent destination in the whole league so they can just reload instead, plus they would average about 30% paid attendance if they ever did commit to a proper rebuild/tank. Looks like I'll be taking a bath on my predictions upthread. Good thing I don't gamble!

For a guy who's never won anything, he gets treated like a 4x champion You're allowed your opinion, but this is a bad opinion. Butler never had a good team in Chicago, but was routinely the Cavs' toughest out during their 14-18 run, he was a circus shot away from potentially winning a title in 2019, and he won the ECF and gave the Lakers everything they could handle in 2020. He's also 4x All-NBA. Put Butler in LA instead of PG, and the Clippers win in 2021. Maybe in 2020 too. 2 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

who do you think
Arenas was a ball hog and a gunner who led a handful of 42-40 Wizards teams to literally nothing. Butler is most definitely not that. EDIT: Just remembered, he also missed almost the entire 07-08 season and the team performed exactly the same without him. Allow that sink to enter the premises.

FiddySicks
Butler is absolutely borderline elite. Come on now. Look up Miller and Butler’s side by side. They’re nearly identical, both regular season and post season, and Butler has played in like 500 less games.
